Filler: Fillers are horses that are used to fill extra competition slots so that the competition runs. They are usually low-skilled horses, and help another specific horse win first place in a competition. Fillers are commonly used by teams or players who are trying to blup a horse and get 20 wins quickly.

EC: An abbreviation for Equestrian Center.
Bolding: Bolding a skill means that all possible skill points have been obtained (with the exception of skill points obtained from lessons completed up until age 25, foal games, and beach rides). Skills can be gained by completing forest and mountain rides, competing in competitions, and completing training. The skills will become bolded when all points have been obtained.
Promos: These are the events hat are shown by a tab in the upper, left-hand side of your screen. They vary greatly, but participating in them usually leads to prizes. Promos are time-limited, but Howrse has developed many different promos that run at different times.
BLUP: This number is found under a horse's genetic tab. This number represents how much of the current horses skills will be transferred to offspring. To make it simple; the higher the blup (on a scale of -99 to 100) the better the foals.
Skiller: A skiller is a horse that has the highest, or extremely high, genetic potential of it's breed. Essentially, it is the best horse of a breed.
How is it done? It has been bred by two horses that are fully blupped with high skills and the highest genetic potential available. The horse is then trained in all areas, forest and mountain rides are completed, and twenty wins are obtained to fully blup the horse. Most players use a male horse so that he can be castrated for an extra bonus. For every two month aging until the age of 25, the horse completes a mission or training to obtain extra skill points in their two highest skills. Once at age 25, the horse is given a Piece of Cloud Pack so that more lessons can be completed.
