pay close attention if the foal requires only 4 pounds of feed, you will have to occasionally cut the play time down by 1/2 hour, but as long as the foal has at least 9% energy before you stroke it, it will recover to 20% with stroking.

(By feed +3, I mean, give it the normal amount required plus 3 pounds)

6 months: Be sure your foal has 100% energy, health, and morale.

8 months: Groom, Play 2 hours, Drink, Carrot, Feed +3, Play 6 1/2 hours, Stroke, Bed

10 months: Groom, Play 2 hours, Drink, Carrot, Feed +3, Play 7 hours, Stroke, Bed

1 year: Groom, Play 2 hours, Drink, Carrot, Feed +3, Play 8 hours, Stroke, Bed

1 year, 2 months: Groom, Play 2 hours, Drink, Carrot, Feed +3, Play 9 1/2 hours, Stroke, Bed

1 year, 4 months: Groom, Play 4 hours, Drink, Carrot, Feed normal amount, Play 7 hours, Stroke, Bed

Note: At 1 year, 4 months, you may not need all 7 hours of play, or you may need a bit more. Watch your time, there is a bit of extra time available here. Just be sure to put your horse to bed by 22:00.

Additional note: pay very close attention to are Donkey, Shetland, and any other foals that only eat 4 pounds (some Arabian, some Fjord). Just pay close attention to the energy, and this schedule will work with all breeds.
