About Me

I am an adult player in my 20's so kids please get permission before talking with me. I played Howrse a long time ago and recently got back in the game. I learn something new everyday! Lately I have just been working on building my game. I'm building my reserve, mastering the art of BLUP and stocking my inventory. I have been able to be in the top 1000 players and I'm hoping to be a top 100 player in the future.

I have not had the pleasure of owning my own horse but have ridden English Saddleseat for many years. I used to show and had a lot of fun. Being an adult with a job makes riding harder so I play instead. Sadly, the horse I rode for many years, Sargent Pepper, passed recently. He was a good horse, loved attention and we won many ribbons together. I look forward to the day I can finally have my own horse, but for now I am content to play!

I encourage you all to look in the Forums and Breeder and Equestrian Center manuals. This game requires some research and looking around to get a full understanding and I find it bothersome when people go into the forums and ask, "What has changed?" I don't mind answering your questions either so don't hesitate to ask.

Making Money

  • Buy six large meadows, place troughs in them and grow longhorn cattle. This will net you a ton of leather you can sell for over 1 million e per month
  • You can can also do this, but only do five meadows, then plant carrot seeds in a greenhouse with the best fertilizer and harvest the carrots every few days.
  • Make 3 star bridles at a 1 day harvest (if you have the employee and expert) without the employee, go for 2 star western saddle) which gives 1 day harvest.
  • Craft the largest workshops you can and craft saddle cloths. They sell for much more than the cost to make.
  • Flip sales; skill horses, add BMI's, especially GA's or other customization items.
  • Sell unused BMI's in the exchange. Just make sure it is a fair exchange. If you wouldn't pay/trade it, don't ask someone else to do so.
  • Always do lessons/missions to earn equus and resources!
  • Congratulate five Topaz for a chance at a diamond, stroke five Xanthos for a chance at a HOP.
  • Sell and cover your own horses
  • Be aware of vet fees; up to 2500 if you have a lot of equus. To cope with this, buy a ton of fodder (1 e each), cover then sell it all back to regain your fortune.

Other good info!

  • Make sure to do something (take care of horses, meadows, comps, etc.) in game daily to help your pass meter progress 10 points daily to get a free pass monthly.
  • Get 10 horses, age them to 30 or older, kill them off for a free pass. After ten horses, you have a 1/3 chance of getting a pass, otherwise you may get a BMI.

  • Is your horse too thin or too fat? Here is a chart that should help you figure out about how much your horse or pony should weigh. These are based on height, not breed but should hold true for all breeds. All heights are in hands. 11.0 to 12.0 ..... 730 lbs to 850 lbs 12.1 to 13.0 ..... 850 lbs to 920 lbs 13.1 to 14.0 ..... 920 lbs to 1000 lbs 14.1 to 14.3 ..... 980 lbs to 1030 lbs 15.0 to 15.2 ..... 1030 lbs to 1070 lbs 15.3 to 16.2 ..... 1060 lbs to 1095 lbs 16.3 to 17+ ..... 1095 lbs to 1100+ lbs Percherons ..... 1850 lbs to 2170 lbs All weights can have a few pounds over or under and the horse will still be healthy. THESE ARE JUST A GUIDELINE.  (I can't remember where I found this so let me know if you did this so I can give you credit.)
