About Me 2a1af738d56da555be74920210e2babc.png

Hello everyone! I am quite new on here, so I'm still figuring a lot of things out. I am a 20 year old female that has always had a passion for horses. I don't necessarily have a favorite breed, I love them all! Some of my passions include dancing, yoga, reading, and learning psychology. I would appreciate if you all wouldn't ask me personal questions, since I'm honestly a pretty private person. Other than that, I'm open to any friend requests, so don't be shy! :)                                   General Ranking                                                     1283rd on 6.25.20 and 86th in Popularity! Thank you guys so much! ced83a1ec20d9f7b45a8c537f1ccdf3c.png 1188th on 6.26.20

What my name means

No, it's not my actual name, but Hiraeth is a Welsh word that is somewhat difficult to describe in English, for the reason that there is no single English word that expresses all that it does. Some words often used to try to explain it are homesickness, yearning, and longing.

However, there is more depth to Hiraeth than in any of those words on their own. It seems to be a rather multi-layered word, which includes a different variety of homesickness than what is generally referred to. This kind of homesickness is like a combination of the homesickness, longing, nostalgia, and yearning, for a home that you cannot return to, no longer exists, or maybe never was. It can also include grief or sadness for who or what you have lost, losses which make your “home” not the same as the one you remember.
