Your title here I am a certified Veterinary assistant, and love animals of all kinds. I also love the Pitbull Breed. ASK ME ABOUT PITBULLS! MY coworker fosters pits and owns a couple, and i have fostered a pit mix. I have had the great pleasure of meeting two of her lovely foster kids who have recently found homes, and sending out my thoughts to her and her pit/boxer who has been diagnosed with Lymphoma and the gave her approx 2-6 months left with him She also has an 8 month old boxer who she adopted out but then had returned to her when he was 5 monthd old because he got sick with pnemonia and they couldn't afford treatment because it ended up that they found what to be a birthdefect, he had no nasal passageways! the vets were very suprised, puppies have never lived longer than 72 hours with this kind of defect. A vet performed the first ryhnoscopy (sp?) on him with two transfusions ever performed. only to find 4 weeks later it ended up being a tumor andhe had two weeks before it took over his passageways again! that was 2 months ago as on 6/20/11 he is still thriving! vet says the only thing probably keeping him so well is his super duper cute over bite which keeps his oral passage way open nearly 24/7 you go little mister DASH and survive like you were ment to only you could survive that surgery cause you are a trouper!

Your title here Hello everyone! Nice to meet you! I have an awsome job working with dogs. Owners board them and I get to play with their dogs and keep them happy during their stay. I have even gotten to take care of a celebs pet! I live in the rainy northwest state of Washington!
I currently own 6 cats, YES SIX and NO I am not an animal hoarder!!! They are all rescues and are all spayed and neutered so no uncotrolable numbers! really only two belong to me and the others are the families(Chloe, Sophie, Libby, Irwin, Googley, and Snickers), and have a Doxie/terrier mix named Felix, and recently had to send the love of my life Brewzer a german shepherd Rottie cross to heaven :(.
We are currently caring for a stray lab mix we named Jacob Black Lab. He is currently looking at getting a new home, UPDATE JAKE IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED!!!(updated again June 2013 sadley Jake ate some keys including a keyphob without hs adoptive mom knowing it, when he got really sick they found them obstructing his stomach, she ended up having to let him go due to the battery in the key pob corroding and causing extensive internal damage...RIP Jake) He was neutered and microchipped and recently finished obedience classes with his owners, I still get to see him every once and a while... He got into trouble a little bit...seems he gets destructive when board but with a wire crate and being crated when his family goes out his destruction has siezed! yeay!I love to write, i am currently working on a story called The War of Arkendor, its about Wolves used to ward off creatures call Urlungs in a War that has recently been fought and now are used for mainly racing, and dragons who were captured to help in the war. The main charecter bred and produced most of the wolves used in the war. Its supposed to be post-war pre-new or old uprising war. I am only like 2 chapters in, barely have the time to write, my notebook got ruined so I am transferring it to my laptop. Had also started a story called The Secret Life of an American Animal Lover, leaving that one in the dust for a while going to focus on one story at a time was getting a little difficult,.. |
