If you're interested in maximizing skill gain from solar divines, here's the schedule I use. It gets 9 skill points a day, but it does require a shower, p. stroke and Achilles' heel.

When feeding, make sure to give him max amount of oats (15)

~Groom, ride 2 hours, mash, feed, ride 5 hours, stroke, ride 1 hour, stroke, carrot, drink if needed, ride 1 hour~

For wind divines, this schedule will get you 4 hours of rides per day. It also requires a shower, p. stroke and Achilles' heel. When feeding, I would recommend at least 16 fodder (be careful with overfeeding), and always, 15 oats.

~groom, ride 1 hour, mash, feed, ride 2 hours, stroke twice, carrot, drink, ride 1 hour~
