About Me

I am an adult player. I read all my PMs (though I am only in-game once a week or so, sorry for lag time). I accept friend requests provided we've had some game contact.

In real life, I'm lucky to get to see horses frequently. In the past, I worked at a Morgan ranch, which was a job I loved, but had to leave when I moved to attend college. After college, I worked as an assistant barn manager at a small stable. We had a Welsh stallion, a Welsh/Saddlebred cross, two Thoroughbreds, an Appendix Quarter Horse, an Arabian, an Arappaloosa, and a Shetland.

Now I work at a small boarding facility where I keep my own horse (an Appendix Quarter horse). The barn houses several Paso Finos, some Tennessee Walkers, a Morgan, a Thoroughbred, an Arabian, a few Quarter Horses, and a Mustang. My mare is currently recovering from an injury, so I don't get to ride as much as I'd like to, but I get to spend a lot of time working with horses. I ride Western (reining, trail), and English (Dressage). I someday hope to be on a drill team.

I live in and love the Pacific Northwest, and I have one cat who I love to bits.

COMPETITIONS
Primary and secondary skills for Western and Classical competitions. Difficulty level of a competition is determined by the primary skill.

Western Events
Barrel racing: speed (stamina gallop)
Cutting: stamina (speed dressage)
Reining: gallop (dressage stamina)
Western pleasure: trotting (stamina dressage)
Trail class: dressage (trot jumping)

Classical Events
Trot: trot (speed dressage)
Gallop: gallop (speed dressage)
Dressage: dressage (trot gallop)
Cross Country: stamina (dressage jumping)
Show Jumping: jumping (dressage speed)

BLUP, BOLD, and GP
To BOLD a horse you must:
Get all possible skills from rides, training, and competitions for each skill (gallop, stamina, etc)
Generally, "skillers" are bolded, which means all 6 skills have reached maximum potential.

To BLUP a horse you must:
* Bold the horses' top 3 skills (training, rides and competitions for each of the 3)
* Win 20 gold metals for competitions
* The horse must be 10 years or older
Generally, "breeders" are BLUPed, and their other (lowest) 3 skills are not bolded.

GP is:
A horses' genetic potential. GP is the total number of skills that a fully bolded horse can gain from training, rides, and competitions. It does not include skills gained from inborn skills, foal games, or lessons. If two horses with an average positive BLUP are bred, the foal will have a higher GP than it's parents, as well as some amount of inborn skills.

SEASONS AND CROPS
The days to maturity below are for growing without fertilizer. Fertilizer shortens the grow time by 1, 2, or 3 days respective to quality. Manure is the best quality fertilizer.

FALL: 1st-7th:
Passes: 30 days. To grow passes, you must have a large fertile meadow of 25 acres and manure.
(Pass seeds are only available through promotions, and are very rare.)
Apples: 30 days. Once the seeds are planted, you can harvest apples every fall.

WINTER: 8th-14th:
You can't grow anything during the winter unless you own a greenhouse.
If you have one, you can grow anything except for apples and passes.

SPRING: 15th-21st:
Carrots: 9 days, Oats: 11 days, Flax (flax bedding): 8 days

SUMMER: 22nd-end:
Wheat (wheat bran and straw bedding): 9 days, Alfalfa (fodder): 7 days

Feel free to PM me if you still have questions.
