by his Taylor Made ownership partnership
to Japan.
My heart breaks with this news.
So many of California Chrome's fans
were not only hoping, but expecting
that he would be retired to socialize
with his millions of fans
at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Tragically this will not happen.

So very sad to hear that after arriving at Kentucky's "Old Friends Retirement farm" early in December, Charismatic (1999 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner) passed away sometime late Sunday night. Run free sweet stallion, join your jockey Chris Antley running with heaven's winds.
