There’s no obligation, but if you want to breed him in the future you’ll get much better foals from a horse which has completed his training and BLUP. He’ll pass on more of his strong genetic characteristics to his foals, thus increasing their genetic potential and even in some case granting them extra inborn skills on top of their potential. It’ll also improve his performances in competitions.
