Ehh, pinatas weren't that great. But I still look forward to it. I hope hOWrse is doing that "like on facebook to crack the great pinata" thing again
Norse?

Alchemically- What's a Norse Divine?
It would be a divine loosely affixed to Norse Mythology. Like Sliephner (and I know I slaughtered the spelling there to lazy to go look it up right now).

Eh, Pinatas >.> Not my cup of tea, do we have any info on Gulifaxi? Also, anyone got a bit of mythology info on him? Seriously a name I have never heard before, and I am curious where Howrse is pulling it from.

I can answer that.
There were four major mythologies available in ancient times: Greek, Roman, Chinese, and Norse. Norse mythology is one of the least known... I have no clue what Gullfaxi is, but I'm excited, at least.

Sleipnir!

Gullfaxi is pretty cool, he's a golden-maned horse that was given to Magni by Thor for helping him fight against the original owner. Almost as fast as Odin's Sleipnir.

If they go with this Norse theme I hope they add Skinfaxi and Hrimfaxi the horses of Dagr (day) and Nótt (night). Lots of rich mythology! And I used to have some of my horses named after these ones ^ default smiley (y)
From Wikipedia:
Gullfaxi is a horse in Norse mythology. Its name means Golden mane.

It was originally owned by Hrungnir, and was later given to Magni by Thor as a reward for helping him in the fight against Hrungnir:

'And I will give thee,' he said, the horse Gold-Mane, which Hrungnir possessed.'
Then Odin spake and said that Thor did wrong to give the good horse to the son of a giantess, and not to his father.
—Skáldskaparmál (17),
Guldfaxe is equally fast on land, in the air and on the water, but not quite as fast as Sleipnir, Odin's horse.

What about Egyptian? Roman and Greek are basically the same. Except that Roman has a few more gods and goddesses, like Janus.
By Retired breeder, June 7, 2014 18:37:36
OK, five major ones. Not to say there wasn't more mythologies than that, but those are the major ones that scholars agree (somewhat) on in-depth.
I kind of thought we'd have Norse Mythology. I like it!

Norse? Never heard of it.

Scandinavian, basically. What Loki and Thor from Marvel are originally from, although Marvel definitely messed up the family tree!

Hmm...the pinatas weren't my favorite, either, Hallaloth. And while it would be cool to get a divine based on Norse mythology (something I grew up on), I don't think that's going to happen. default smiley (lol)

It will be interesting to see how that will develop.

Also, I wanted to toss this out there. Sleipnir and Gullfaxi won't be the only two Norse based divines we have. People are forgetting the Greyfells - which are based on the hero Sigmund's horse, Grani.

I think it's funny how Howrse slipped this one in right under everyone's radar. Goes to show you that speculation really means nothing without proof.
