oh ok. One more question about the new tutorial and sorry for multiple questions. Will this new tutorial be implemented when the stagecoach promo comes out?

Is this new change going to be like "game levels"? ie does this change take away from the freedom we have in the game to do what we want? Such as must complete objectives in order to get to do certain things? like you must be at a certain "level" to do competitions or limit how many horses you can have or take care of?

The GA is still part of the tutorial.

You either pay or complete the 25 objectives to gain access to the EC. When you click the pass button you get an error that says you don't have enough passes to purchase the item. When I completed my 25 objective milestone, I clicked to unlock the EC, gained access to it and did not get any passes along with that access. I was confused about image wording at first, so I'll post some feedback about it in the test topic because I can see players expecting to get passes as a reward

We do get a reward to create an affix upon completing Objective 22, and the pass price to unlock the next 3 milestones decreased to 90, 150 and 200 passes respectively after I unlocked my EC. I won't be able to continue with objectives for a few days, because my next 3 are to reach 3 connection days, reach 7 connection days, and reach 10 connection days. If the objectives in the same order for everyone you can only do 26 of them on your very first day of playing before getting stuck at that point

When you do objectives things come cheaper or quicker.

wow that is a lot of objectives that can be done on the first day of being on a game..hmm i will have to give this a try on a server when its released.

I think the wording of the rewards for the large milestones is a bit confusing. It says EC access "OR" passes, which makes it sound like upon completing your 25th objective you can choose to either get access to your EC OR get passes as a reward. It wasn't until I clicked the 80 passes and got the error "you don't have enough passes to purchase this item" that I understood you can either complete the objectives to get EC access for free or pay passes to access it sooner. And I also didn't receive passes when I completed the 25 objectives, so that confirmed it for me to. It should probably says "OR pay X passes to access your EC now".

I think players will find that the objectives will give them something to do right away as some get confused on why you can't make an EC until 30 days or do this or that. They do seem logically progressive at this point. It started from doing foal games, to rides, to offering a cover, then later accepting a cover, then later birthing a foal, etc. I got 26 objectives done on the first day before getting stuck with the reach X connection days.

I'm not really sure though that these objectives and the new tutorial in general are much helpful than what we had before though. New players aren't being told *how* to do things, but rather *what* to do. People will still likely ask questions in the game play forum about what an objective means rather than looking in the manual (which I think needs to be pushed more during the tutorial, in terms of where to find it. There is an objective at some point to go there, but it's not very intuitive to find since the button is just a question mark). These will just make players ask questions about them sooner rather than until they get some objective during the dailies or an event.

I think a better rundown about how games and blup affect your horses is important to go over, or how rides and training contribute to blup. Yes, we're doing these actions in the tutorial/objectives, but it's never really explained why these actions are an important part of Howrse game play. There is a part in the tutorial about how to add an animation to your horse (something I've never used), but there's nothing to show how to look up the name of the GA coat your horse has, which is an oft asked question in game play, and not something referenced in the manual either. You either have to ask how to do it, or stumble about it yourself.

I agree that the word "or" can lead to the wrong conclusion and hopefully it will be adjusted.You can also see when LA paid the 80 passes the remaining items available were reduced.

If anyone has question on her post I will get LA to come here and explain but I think it is coming a lot clearer now.

thank you for more updates on this new feature. I am glad that the player has confirmed that you have to complete the objectives to be able to unlock stuff. I am also glad that the player cleared up the equestrian center OR passes because honestly I really thought that the way it was set up meant that we could get passes. How long does the new objectives last for new players curiously?

From what Ann and I discussed there are 3 objectives that have "reach X connection days" objectives so the length of time will be hard to know at this time.

What if you already have an EC and what not do you lose what you've already completed? Such as Grand Prix bonuses and do you have to start all over again once this starts...How many objectives total are there until your done?

However, I'm not sure how the milestones will work if you don't yet have the grand prix ticket. Whether you'll have to somehow complete an objective, or whether stablished accounts will still need to open hops to get it. I'll have to ask about that, as well as about players who don't yet have seniority to access the sales reward..The objectives just provide a new way of accessing these features, so older accounts with these features already unlocked won't be affected.

You have to scroll over a bit to see it, but the image above does show that there are 100 Apprentice Objectives for new players to complete, and they're split into 4 chunks, and I'm guessing the regular daily ones we have to get passes nlock after those are done. I'll check on that too,

This edition of the wandering horses contest is based on urban legends. You will find references to the White Lady, Chupacabra, and many other spooky stories!



How to Play


Each wandering horse has an objective that you need to complete to fill the gauge and receive the horse. The gauge is separated into different steps. At certain steps on the gauge the player will receive intermediate prizes (like an item or divine fragments).

Once the gauge is completed, the wandering horse will stay with you until 2 days after the end of the contest.

You'll start with 4 horses unlocked then each day a new wandering horse will unlock. You can wait or use passes to unlock them immediately. (The longer the wait time, the more expensive in passes).

To get points and complete their gauge, you can age your horses using Evil Essences.

How to Get Evil Essences

You can get them by:

catching UFOs

waking wandering horses (occasionally)

by buying them with passes

The book of monsters is a black market item that allows you to put it on a non special horse and have a special coat assigned to it. I believe there are 4 coats(?) but I might be wrong on that. There's the Yeti, Blob, Ghost Rider,Mummy and Newt. You can check it out on YouTube since there are a few videos with them. Type into YouTube total cretin book of monsters. I am sure it will pop up. I would put a link to it but it is against rules to do so. No offense.

You will be able to work them like normal horse during the promo. After that they become images on your presentation page.
