Yes, they're a wild breed. I've been to the roundup and auction in VA so they have a special place in my heart and I'd love to get one! Apparently they haven't been released yet (during this promo) so hopefully they come soon... These 5 passes are burning a hole in my pocket!

Yep, there's a Chincoteague Pony Wild. I don't know when it will be re-released, but I know it will be sometime next month. I am just waiting for the Sable Island Pony to be re-released. Ow has all of them in the Wilds breeding farm and the other horses tab. So if you wanna see all of them Ow has all 26.
When will draft horses be featured? Is there anyway someone could tell me the month or exact date?

We have no way of knowing that. The best way would be to check the inside Howrse blog, but that will just give you a general idea of their implementation timeline, not actual dates.

I thought they had said they did not want drafts?
By Retired breeder, March 1, 2014 12:25:50

The first draft breed will probably be the Clydesdales. There is a huge campaign going on for them which makes me think that, which is probably why they are going to be brought to howrse.

There is also a campaign I've found for Blue Roan horses to be brought to howrse, which when they update the horse coats, guess what? The roans are going to resemble blue roans.

There was also a campaign that involved the Tennessee Walking horses for a few months, and howrse answered that call too.

There was even, for a while, a campaign for free passes available to all players, and that triggered the once a month reserve pass after 50 days membership (bought on the pass page if you don't know what a reserve pass is. It costs 20% of your breeders reserve).

I wonder if I start one for the American Cream, an American breed of draft horse, Howrse would listen to that too?

I will say this, at least Howrse takes the player's wishes into consideration.

The reason they didn't create EC forums on the servers by country is because on the international, there were a lot of problems with it (inappropriate content, controversial content, etc). Some of the moderators were spending most of their time checking out complaints about EC forums instead of playing and moderating the regular forums it was so bad, because EC forums weren't being properly moderated by their propriators. From what I understand, it's still a bit of a problem over there.

They did introduce private forums for team communications however, and teams are made up of the more serious players that wouldn't even consider a player with bad karma for membership... and believe me when I say, I am fairly sure they are being monitored for inappropriate content by the administrators. Teams also involve at least one big paying member, so they are pretty exclusive and not open to just anybody, making them much easier to keep up with. EC forums are open to anyone and can be created by anyone who has a center, unless the breeder in charge takes drastic measures to limit who can view them, and that includes reserved boarding only and putting the EC forums as boarders only... and then it takes careful monitoring of the breeders using the center to keep trouble out.

To make things short, EC forums were just too much to look after because anyone with a center could create one and many weren't properly monitored by the people who created them.

When I was on International a few years back, I was disgusted by some of the inappropriate content that was featured in the forums, content that howrse prohibits because it's controversial. Yes, it still shows up on breeder profile pages quite a bit, but howrse prohibits controversial topics from being discussed, and if I'm not mistaken, a lot of it isn't supposed to be on breeder pages if they read the rules and guidelines. The majority of us just overlook it and move on because we can be reported for saying anything to the breeder because it could be construed as harassment. The same rules that apply on the forums, i believe also apply to page content. While I agree with the controversial content, it does not mean i want to see it on every other page I look at because it is a topic that disgusts me. There for a while, i wouldn't read a breeder profile because of it. It really is something howrse needs to crack down on, but there's so many breeders doing it that it's easier to just let it slide.

hvtgrad05-I know why they didn't put it on there default smiley (lol). I love my EC forum on the International. Complaints should be directed to the person who really moderates the forums (the player that owns it) and not the moderators. Plus, controversial stuff should be allowed as long as people can stay mature (which, of course, no one can these days, but I have had some pretty interesting religious conversations that involved both of us laying out our differences and speaking like *mature* adults). I'd like a seniority limit (like no one less than 500 days can get them) and a karma limit (like no one less than 8 karma can post in one). I think those limits would severely cut down on reports and give the moderators less of a headache while allowing people to freely post things that normally can't be posted in EC forums. I can already think of what I could do... default smiley (l)

I agree with you, wolf. I really and whole heartedly do.

Religion is one thing I don't mind hearing about and enjoy discussing, but some of the other topics... I don't like seeing them day in and day out on profile pages. Yes, I know it happens, yes I agree with the statements, which the majority of people on here do, but I don't want to be reminded of it every time I click on someone's page when I'm somewhere where i want to have fun, on a serverfor a country where it is rare and frowned upon, and often times illegal. It's those topics on profile pages that i wish Howrse would crack down on - they already do on the forums.

Also, I discovered something on another website game that is similar to howrse... it is actually illegal for children under the age of 13 to play these games in many countries -including the US- because it involves social networking. Just putting that out there for parents. It's something else I think that Howrse needs to crack down on (especially because they are most likely to violate the rules).
By Retired breeder, March 2, 2014 16:10:47
I tried to start one for cross teams and cross unis, but howrse hasn't answered my call yet.

hvtgrad05-I see those things all the time. I've also seen people put "Hey, I'm ten" on their profile pages. I don't agree with it being illegal, but I do think that there should be implemented something like an age-limit thing (no one under 13 years can post in <FT> for example) because there are things that moderators can't catch immediately.

And yes, I did say a seniority limit of 500 and I'm below it. I don't mind that. I'd love to wait. But by the time you've been on here a year and a half, I'm sure you're mature enough to handle EC forums.

By Retired breeder, March 2, 2014 20:27:10
I know what you mean, Wolfheart77. I'm thirteen, and absolutely love this game. If it's a horse game, why do people post stuff like that?
By Retired breeder, March 2, 2014 20:57:14

I'm 11. I don't think there's really a point for an age limit, cuz' maturity is really defined at an individual level.

Please add Morgans to this game!! They're my favorite breed of horse!!!

I agree with this. I'm sure there would be exceptions to the maturity thing, there always are; but it would cut back greatly on all the inappropriate, off topic, or "trolling" comments.
I think 400-500 days is a fairly good cutoff. I have 7 years of game time combined, but there's no way to combine seniority on servers, so I wouldn't mind waiting.
Most younger players don't lie about their age when signing up, and to the best of my knowledge, you can't change it?

On a side note, I thought the point of the VIP was to have a more mature version of the game, apart from the simplistic side of Howrse that you can get without paying for it.
It was different than my expectations, but it would be nice to have a more in-depth game for the more experienced players, and to keep this as a more simple one for people just to have fun and play a basic game.
