I think the numbers might be off...

I actually like V2 better than V1 and V3. Our current is better than the old or new, but I suppose that's just my opinion.default smiley (h)

Did anyone ever post a picture of the new Paint coat, like overo or tobiano or something?

The new Gypsy Vanner is.... not good.... if we're allowed to vote for whether we want the new ones or not like last time, I'm voting to keep the old.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 02:42:34
Oddly enough, the coats we voted on last time are not the coats that are appearing in front of us now.

You are the second person that has called me "wolf heat" and I find it just as funny now as I did then default smiley xd
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 02:57:19
Those pesky ''R's" just have a way of running off right when they are needed, Wolfheart! or in the case of the misbehaving "R's" it should be
Those pesky '''s" just have a way of unning off ight when they ae needed, Wolfheat!
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 02:58:20
Oh, I hope you don't think I did that on purpose. I am having trouble with my keyboard so if it was working right it would have been wolfheart. So don't think it was intended that way.default smiley :(

I had one day where, no matter what word I typed, the "o" key would not work. So don't worry default smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:03:40
My desktop computer's y key is so busted that you have to hit the key really hard for it to wok.

Technically, there was no V1 friesian because they were released with the V2 coats around 2007 or 2008. I absolutely hated the V2 coats as they mostly looked alike, and our current coats are V4. V3 were nearly identical with almost no changes to most breeds, except some of the patterns, like the overos were changed. The new coats are technically V5.... but for the friesian, they are the third version.

What i am trying to say is, there have been four times there has been some sort of coat upgrade to an existing coat, with the next upgrade being the fifth time there has been some sort of upgrade.

I hope that made sense default smiley (lol)

If you forgot the "r"s in my name, I'd be Coverdale. XD Ah, at lease it still make sense.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:06:37

I pulled if off INT, and they had V1 coats. That make sense...ish. XD
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:18:23
oh yeah, that's right, they did lol. The pictures for them are rare though because they were introduced with teh V2 coats. We were given a choice between v1 and v2 at the time, so yes, you're right, they did have v1 coats... silly me... i said something about it a few pages back too and forgot that fast lol
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:22:50

yeah, a few pages back they posted the overo and tovero.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:26:14

here you are Stryx. They were on page 52. The first few are appaloosas.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:27:41
Thanks so much! I must have missed them.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 03:33:26
I knew about where to look because i'm the one who requested to see those five coats. I think the Tovero is a great improvement. The current ones, you can barely see the palomino color on the palomino tovero. The american type coat wouldn't be so bad if hte tail weren't so thin and the neck wasn't so skinny near the head.

The new Friesian looks imperious, proud, and reserved. I actually like it.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 04:09:53
My only main problem with the Fries are the manes. (I seriously just realized that that's how you spell it not main, lol -->Dumb Girl Here<--default smiley :p)
A bit more feathering would be nice, and if the back neck wasn't so U shape and straighter. They would look just as nice as the ones we have now.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 04:16:24
The new Friesian's have overly rounded necks.
By Retired breeder, March 23, 2014 04:22:51

agreed.
