as you can see by my seniority, I haven't been on very long, so will Howrse change all of the howrses we have now when they update??

And that would be.... confusing. What if a new player joined howrse and there are two different styles of the same breed? It would be difficult to keep them straight.

Yeah but the coats that the players dont like they dont have to put them on if they think that their horse collection is ruined I like to collect mustangs and particular and it has taken me months to build up my collection and now they are getting changed i wish that i could have that option and i have 4 other friends who agree because they helped me build it up and now the coats are changing and now my musties wont be pretty any more

Howrse cannot please anyone. If they did that, then they would have other players complaining that it is too confusing to have two images of the same breed. We need to just go with it and hope for the best

That is why there are GAs. You should just get used to it, as I doubt it will be changing. We already have the tack/no tack thing, which is confusing enough, but to completely confuse newer and older players is to see different styles of coats that are the same breed. It would give so many updates between sold horses. (e.g. somone sells a horse to another player that has the old coat, then that other player changes the coat again who sells it to another player who changes it... it go on and on and be very, very, very, very confusing.) That's why when the update comes, people should just stick with it and cope.

Since it's a Howrse-wide change, I think it will be coming to all servers.

This is why I have never really been very fond of howrse makers I never go from day one why there is always got to be something new i mean new is good and all but something new like every week is kinda weird that is why i do not just play howrse and play other things most of the times

Most games don't change with this amount of regularity and stagnation in a game can actually get very boring once you're used to a set format. Then, boredom sets in and the player base starts to lose interest in the game. Changes keep the game fresh and interesting, as well as drawing in a wider player-base. These new ideas and artwork help keep Howrse alive.

Well, I'm sorry for you, but I for one enjoy the game and the changes very much. I have played a very many stagnant games and this for me is a refreshing new thing.

This argument is becoming too opinion-based. I like the changes, you don't, I don't really see anything to argue about there, since neither of us will back down. I call a cease-fire.

Ya'll need to chill or this forum will get locked up. Or censored. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Besides Howrse has not confirmed this yet. I personally think if the coat change happens it will take some getting used too.

they did do a vote on these and i'm sure they are just going on what everyone said. after they are implied though they might want to keep working on the coats a little, the fjords however no look amazing. though i got to say the other ones seem to lack enough details, it might just be my compulsive nature or something else but they need a little more detail to them. i think all the coat changes will affect every server and even though a few did not chose the new ones evidently someone from another server seem to like them. that and the whole tack things, maybe its easier for the tack on these.in all i'm sure if enough decide they don't like the changes they will revert back. given some time i think these will work out to a extent.

Everyone keep in mind this may be a rumor. Howrse has not released any information saying that there will be coat changes. Dont fight each other over something that may not even be true.

Actually the coat change was announced on the Howrse blog awhile back (december 2013). Obviously the coats themselves may be subject to change before they are implemented, but we do know that the coats are changing.

I am hoping it is not true but if it is i am not going on howrse alot maybe once every few days but not as much i am going to look for a new fun game if howrse changes too much
