There were about 5 different divines offered in the promo last year. Some of them were pretty pricey. I went after Winter and Balios last year and between Hops and Passes I opened probably around 80 Hops. This does not count however the varied other prizes I was able to obtain with all the ornaments I received opening Hops. It is a more pass heavy promo than most, and there is really no way to accurately calculate how many passes you will spend because each of the divines required a different spread of ornaments

Towards the end I just open a few more Hops just to try and finish off other trees. I probably spent more than I should have or needed to, but I always felt my Balios AND Winter were worth it.

My biggest hope is that they tweak how the trees were carried back. Last year it was a very specific team of a 5 year old Donkey and 8 year old draft for the optimum team for hauling trees back. Not difficult really, but annoying.

Honestly it depends on /which/ divine tree you are going after. There were 5 last year with Balios being the most expensive. It also depends entirely on what ornaments you already have, if you get the luck and the tree picks up a few ornaments on the way back. If I recall last year most of the divine trees required something like 25 or more ornaments with almost all of them being the bottom tier of ornaments.

I do not know if they are making adjustments to last year or not Going after a single divine tree, recalling about how many ornaments I had by the 25th of last year I would say plan on about 20-25 passes/Hops per divine tree, give or take.

My hope is they adjust ornaments distribution like they did Candy distribution for the current promo and make it a little easier to get those bottom row ornaments. I think I only got a couple last year that did not come from Hops.




I believe Cyber posted on the last page the spoiler thread pages for the A_ C_ promo last year, Since there are a lot of details to the promo, and we do not know if adjustments have been made, your best option is to find what page she posted and take a few minutes reading in the backlog

That is not a Hop. that is a Treasure Chest.Treasure Chests typically are never in the black market and have only been awarded in maybe 2 promos over the last 5 years. Easiest way to obtain one is through the Holiday packs they do over Christmas and New Years Meaning that Divine can either be gotten through the promo or through the Holiday Packs which are purchased with real money.

Again the pass cost for the A_ C_ is nearly impossible to calculate since there are several variables and there is typically more than one divine, and which one you go after is going to have an impact on what you are spending.

With the 80 or so Hops I opened last year I /could/ have won three. And Balios was the most expensive one to win, I chose against the Zodiac divine being offered and went for more goodies though.

So there'll be 5 trees, and each tree will hold a divine prize at the end, and you will need 20-25 passes per tree.. right?
Also, can you choose which tree you want to complete/finish first?
And (sorry if this one is an obvious question, epona will be the grand prize of one of the 5 trees, am I correct?
