Icelandic Hike estimates! It seems like promos usually last Thursday - Sunday with three weekends between. That's TFSSMTWTFSSMTWTFSS - 18 days. Each day in the new promo you get 15 tokens (login and comps/rides). Chugging through in one go on the test server cost 89 passes - 79 spent on token packs, and 10 on shuffling the deck. Each token pack has 6 tokens.

So that means I used about 489 tokens. Shuffling with a pass should not be necessary or only rarely necessary (I finish promos on the last Sunday, I will probably need to buy a shuffle or two that day) since we are given one free shuffle a day.

15 tokens a day * 18 days in the promo = 270 free tokens

(489-270)/6 = 36.5 passes

I didn't always take the shortest path - I went out of my way for prizes, especially at checkpoints. It's also fairly luck based so this could vary between 30-45 passes depending on your luck and how quickly you pick it up (and pay for shuffles).

I recommend buying 10-20 token packs on the first weekend that has the token offer, since you can reduce paid for shuffles by advancing as far as you can before the last Sunday.

Tips for getting prizes at checkpoints - try to have a card that lands you directly on the checkpoint, and a switch lane card as well. Then you can get two prizes at the checkpoint, instead of one (for example, checkpoint 9 has the Hestia, the Themis scale, and a Harmony pack. I chose both Hestia and Themis scale, since that was the only chance to get them). You'd have to be really lucky to get a second switch lane card, so anticipate only getting 2 out of 3 prizes at checkpoints.

Are those switch lane cards difined? So, can you chooce which lane you go, or do they always translate to either right or left? I hope my question is good enough formulated to understand

Switch lane cards mean that you can move to any space within the line (you can go left or right) One thing to know as well is that it seems that the prizes at each marker are in the order that they'll appear in. So if it said: Chronos Timer, Medusa's Blood,Helios Ray then the C Timer would be in the first lane, MB would be in the second lane, and HR would be in the third

Norse Cards

The concept is the same as the usual: collect and scratch cards to win gifts. Complete all the puzzles cards to win the new divine horse.

When the player reaches

10% it triggers a private sale of a Bronze Joker Card

25% it triggers a private sale of a Silver Joker Card

50% it triggers a private sale of a Gold Joker Card

100% or more, it triggers a private sale of a Diamond Joker Card



Completing the puzzles several now enables players to win the divine several times (not limited to 1 divine anymore)

Chimera Horses


We are introducing a brand new species on the game: the Chimera horses!

The Chimera horses are hybrids between horses and other animals. The first one to be introduced will be the Tiger, and there will be other ones, such as Polar Bear, Fish, Dog, Rhino, etc.

They are very similar to the Wild Horses, but with a few differences.





They each have their own landscape.

You need to tame the horses before you can properly play with them.

You can tame them yourself, request help (for equus) and help other players.
There are rankings for the quickest tamers.


Instead of a “country”, they have a “Climate” that can be Cold, Temperate or Hot depending on the horse.


Chimeric horses can refuse some caring actions even when tamed.

The probability to refuse an action depends on the climate related to the horse and the season on the game.

“Cold” horses are less cooperative in Spring and Summer, Temperate in Winter and Summer, Hot in Fall and Winter.


Tiger is the first one to be introduced. To enable players to test this one, each “tester” will receive one by script (but not VIPs).

Creation Space


We will introduce a few changes in the Creation space, for creators but also voters and collectors. All details are in the changelog.

Sending creations to the Black Pearl: players are now limited to 10 creations/month

It is now possible to skip votes during the voting phase up to 3 times/day

In the Creations directory, a “Uses” column has been added. It shows the total number of times a creation was used. It also shows the limit for limited creations. (The Number of items column => still shows the number of living horses with this creation)

For the Chimeric horses, what is 'tester' referring to? Will each VIP testing the promo receive a horse, or is this only for the International test server?

Before I read Cyber's message, I saw Kaya's message, and thought that howrse was adding Chimera Horses, like brindles.

They act just like the wilds with a diamond as their gift until age 80.

And I am assuming they are not sellable? I really like the changes coming. Especially the directory one.

They cannot be sold. Consider them as a replacement for the Wilds with all the same pros and cons.

Are those private sales a choice? So, if you choose to buy the silver joker card, will your gauge return to 0% or will it stay at the 25%?

progressively. I bought a bronze joker when I was able and the gauge did not reset. I skipped buying the silver joker and unlocked the gold card. I bought the gold card and still have the silver one available. So it looks like you can buy them all if you want.

This was taken right after I purchased the gold card. The gauge did not reset as I still have the silver one available to purchase.

How exactly would you be able to get the hybrid? Only available to Vips or would you have to spend passes?

No one on preprod has any idea how it will be released. The Admins are also not saying anything.
