I liked how dynamic the trotter pose was, compared to the standing poses of all the other breeds - but I guess it did suggest a certain use for them that isn't the only thing they can do.

I do not think that anyone is disagreeing with you on the fact that we breed for skill, but it is not as thought that look of the breed is not a factor. Personally, how horses look is the fist impression, and that is how I decided which breeds I would devote my Howrse time to. It came as a horrific shock to log on this evening and not recognize my first horse. 0.o I honestly thought that something dreadful had happened when I saw how my Friesian appeared. When breeds are unrecognizable, it looses all authenticity.

When I heard about the P Pack changing I went out and got a P Bridle so I could get a Poseidon's Pack. I feel so brilliant.

Not looking forward to the new update at all, though. I switch specialties almost constantly and do /not/ want to lose my tack. I spend tons on tack and I think Howrse isn't taking us into much consideration. Yes, it is server-wide, so it's technically "fair" to all players, but I don't get why they can't make it so the tack goes back to our inventory.

questions, questions, inquiring minds want to know!

1. the way i understand it, if you have all three components of the p pack, they merge into a pack. is this in inventory, on a horse, both?

2. example: you have 2 p shoes, 2 p bridles and 5 p saddles in inventory. if the answer to #1 is either inventory or both, then you have three saddles left over. what happens to them? do they independently turn into packs too, or does each item do that, or are the saddles lost, or do they stay in inventory but become useless, or can they be put onto a horse after the change but then the horse doesn't get a whole pack? should one be putting any extras onto a horse? should one be putting it ALL onto a horse?

3. if a horse has shoes as its only bmi equipment item, does the horse get a saddle cloth alone, or a saddle cloth and a p pack, or both?

4. do ordinary shoes only get sold back to the store if they're in inventory or are they sold back from the horses themselves too?

5. what am i forgetting to ask?

In a few days, new types of equipment will be added to the game: saddle blankets, polo wraps and ear bonnets!

In order to add these new types of equipment, all the existing types of Horseshoes as well as the Atalante and Centaur Packs will be removed from the game. Additionally, all the equipment parts contained in the Poseidon's Pack will no longer be available outside this pack.
This means that:

- all your horses that have store-bought horseshoes will receive a saddle cloth instead
- all your horses that have at least one equipment item from the Black Market will receive a full Poseidon's Pack
- horseshoes in your inventory will be bought back from you at the price of 50 Equus each
- Atalante and Centaur Packs will become Poseidon's Packs
- Poseidon items in your inventory will be merged into Poseidon's Packs

These changes could take a few hours to complete. We apologize for the inconvenience this could cause during the transition period.

I just sold all my horseshoes back to the store for more than Howrse is offering us.

Don't those turn into saddle cloth?

I'm am not really looking forward to the tack or the P pack thing.

I feel like there have been way too many changes at one time.

I'm probably wrong about half of this stuff. All this I've heard through the grapevine, so to speak.

1) I heard it as both....I believe if you have one item on a horse (Say, a P Saddle and typical tack) you'll get a full P Pack for that horse, since the items will no longer be able to be bought or used separately.

2) I believe they will independently turn into Packs, although I'm not 100% sure about this. I'm keeping any extras and hoping they turn into individual packs for use.

3) I've heard it as, if the shoes are P Shoes, the horse will get a full P Pack, which, supposedly, contains a Saddle Cloth.

4) In inventory. Horses with shoes will lose the horseshoes, and the horseshoes will be replaced by a saddle cloth for the horse.

5) I think that's everything. I'm quite interested to see how this plays out.

Sorry if any of that was totally wrong, I'm just going off rumors and such here.

i forgot about the saddle cloth when asking the "on horses too" question about the shoes. oops. but i sure would like to know the rest for sure! regarding #2, the letter said "merged."

I think if you have one of each, they will be merged into a pack, but if you have an extra two of something I'm thinking you'll get two packs from that.

yes of that i am sure: the scale will be there if it isn't discontinued. it always was there if you made your own pack combining the three independent elements, so there is no reason why it would not be
