I know I'm like heck yeah! More horses to collect... I wonder which ones they'll bring... I'm hoping Clydesdale and Percherons
Would we be able to breed them like we do the other horses?

I'm thinking so. It's just like you have three classes of horses, pony, horse, and draft horses.

Does anyone know when they will be added?

According to the EC timeline page, they won't be added until the February update, or possibly even after that. We have several months to wait before they reach the game.

It is believed they are going to be an item similar to calves and NOT breedable. However it is all player speculation at this point. However I highly doubt Howrse will look to add a whole new class of horses to the game, there really is not point to the 'classes' we have now as nothing different is done with them.

They say workhorses and added it in respect to the EC changes, suggesting these workhorses being added are going to heavily influence the EC, which suggests that they will not be a horse we compete with. I imagine they will be used to collect resources for you, help with your crops (plow horses) haul wood and iron and such.

You guys misunderstand. They are NOT a new breed. They are work horses. For your EC.

I just thought I would bring it to your attention that since the recent update if your horse reaches zero energy while you are working it, even if you haven't bedded it down or aged it, it will die!
Previously, your horse could not reach zero energy, it always had a fraction at least of energy left. Hopefully this information will be beneficial for you all!

Well, that's terrible -_- I actually take some of my horses down to 0% on occasion. *sigh*

This is bad news. I normally work the horse down to 0% and then feed and stroke and such. default smiley (d)

This part of the update is Horrible! I work my horses down to zero quite often, and just always stroke and things afterwards to bring their health back up... I don't want to have to go through a ton of Boxes every time I forget that I can't go down that far... REALLY don't like this part of the updates.. Why would they change that??

Please Howrse, change that back! I'm sure I'm not alone here and not the only one not happy with this part of the change lol
Ummm, my horse is fine I tested it and it was the same as usualdefault smiley (o)

I'm not happy about it! default smiley (6)

I tried it on a foal I don't need. I stoked it right afterward, and it lived. default smiley (o)

I'd just like to point out that feeding works better if the horse has high energy, I usually aim for 79% because then I get back 21% But I agree I don't like this part... does anyone know if this is also true for horses with a heels?

I think the confusion here is that the energy doesn't show the decimals, just the nearest whole number. So if your horse has 0.3% left, it will live, and if it has 0.00% left, it dies. If Howrse is going to make this change, they need to show the decimals on the horse's energy so we can tell when it's going to go too low default smiley (n)

They should really show the decimals! I don't want to have to calculate all of that in my head and then end up being wrong and my horse dies. This is horrible! Other than the new rides, I like all the updates other than that, though.

I don't like this change either - but I guess in some ways it is also more realistic. You work a horse to fondering you are risking killing it.

Ok, I sent a message to contact us once i noticed it. They just replied and said that it was/ is common for glitches in the game to happen after a major update and is now fixed. They also were sorry for any inconvenience this caused

Personally, I've been wondering if the Drafts will be a combination of EC horses and our regular horses. I'm wondering if we'll be able to take care of them and breed them (god, I sure hope so, I love drafts) but that instead of training them and doing competitions with them, their version of training may be something like working to gather resources for the EC - and that as you work them, the more they can gather for your EC. It would be like skills, but it would be endurance training-similar instead and wouldn't have anything to do with the skills.

It would be complicated, but it would allow Howrse to give us breedable drafts without having to worry about ranking them, and we could keep them in our centers if their skills didn't matter, just the endurance and how many resources they can gather/how much work they can do for the EC. Kind of like how Divine skills don't matter in an EC, and you can breed them with whatever BLUP and it doesn't matter.

I sincerely hope it's something like this, because I would like to be able to breed the drafts with the different coats and possibly different breeds if we get suuuuuuper lucky. Idk. Just something I was thinking about.
