The above is only 1 of 3 pages of the same sort of stuff. I also got equs from 1000 to 5000 multiple times.


So I did very well.default smiley :) I don't however recommend anyone trying too hard to get the divines as we are already overstocked with divines that have a set skill set.

Eh, I'll just save up passes and see if I can get them when they're in the reserves. If they're never there, well...I've already got the Solars, and they're always giving me tons of diamonds. A difference of one or two per week isn't going to kill me. Besides, you're right, Cyberhorse; we are overstocked with divines. I love the special things they can do and gifts they can bring, of course, but there are so many of them that another opportunity to get a different, perhaps better, divine will come along eventually--and inevitably.

This was brought to the Admins attention yet again on the test server that some server players are getting a bit desperate finding ANY comp for a low level divine that cannot be increased ( or not increased without a huge outlay of resources).

Taking up to 10 minutes to do one horse, switching disciplines ( English/Western) and only able to find 2 comps and being left with the decision of eith putting the horse to bed at 14 hours and 80% energy or going back 4 hours later and redoing the horse all over again just to find one more comp--then facing the same decision on what to do, either bed or come back is so frustrating.

This is what any new person will be facing when they get that divine ( with set skills around the 200 mark).

Now do you want to pay 25 to 50 passes for that frustration..really?

But here is one solution.

To those who really don't care that much about their EC why don't you set your competition for divine, get the 500e bonus it gets. It WILL run regular requires virtually no maintenance ( even if you have no divine). If you also add the rookie feature you get an additional 500 e so now you can get 5000 e per day and not have to do anything to it. No one is going to take your EC tack and they will very likely do your missionsdefault smiley (y)

That sounds like a really great idea! Also, my competitions already have somewhat poor rankings (I have little to no idea what to do with them), so they're mostly for cash, anyway. I like it!

Umm... one question: How is it 5,000e? I know it's 500e for rookie comps and 500e for Divine comps, but that's 1,000e. Do you automatically get 4,000e per comp?default smiley (o)

It comes to 1,000 e per comp per run.

So you have 5 different races that will run once a day ( if your trot runs more often then you would get more--like about 7/8,000 per day)

It is a nice chunk of change with doing nothing.

You don't need showers or troughs ( will help but not necessary).

Since all entrants are scrambling for divine EC comps you don't have to hunt for people to enter. You get a steady income with no outlay.

Just to give you an idea of what can happen.

I fixed up a friends comp on Int. this morning.

They had no comp running for over a month. I fixed the comps up and was almost finished with the last one and found out I couldn't even put any of my own low level divines in it.

Why??

Because in a matter of 5 minutes 4 of the comps were filled and ran. default smiley :s That is how desperate people are.default smiley :-x

This could be a a steady income and I have not seen any EC that runs divines at less than 33%.

That is why many won't do it if they already have a 60 or higher EC and why it is getting so bad.

But if anyone really does not want the hassle of comp running this is a good way to go and you get paid for it.

Sure sounds like a win/win thing to me.

Just imagine if even only 20 people could do this. It would still be tight but it sure would help.

And the one side effect is that the only comp many of the lower level divines are finding are the open comps.

So if you are BLUPing and looking for a low level open comp, well guess what? It has a divine in ( and multiply this by hundreds) it because there is nothing in the divine area for that divine horse to enter. So this affects way more than any divine owners but everyone.default smiley :$

I don't do comps with my low level divines anyway, the ones I have to work daily I just treat like AP horses, but I see how this could be a problem. However I didn't really notice it, I think this could be more of an issue on int than on here where less people own divines.

I wonder how they could fix this, maybe if they award prestige for divine comps on a curve and not just prestige is halved across the board people will be more willing to do divine comps to quickly raise their prestige, and then when they've reached a certain point make them normal comps.

Actually the smaller servers are experiencing this way more critically. There are just so few comps on the smaller servers like the Auzzie and Canadian one ( and is showing up here now).

More people own the lower level horses than ever before and while there are moments on the International where this shows up it WILL be a huge problem in 6 months to 1 year from now with the release of more and more divines that qualify for only this level comp.



It has been proposed on the test server several times now and I sure am hoping they look at the comp structure...and soon.

We however can be pro active and try to solve what ever we are able to solve.

well, i gave it a shot lol, i have no idea how these comps work, but lets wait and see if i help at all since i hadn't created any comps yet anyway lol

as for being cluttered with set level divines ... some players scramble like mad to have any kind of divine lol low set levels or not lol i'm happy just lookin at em lol

The only thing I see that could be problem is they are set a little low. Try making the difficulty on all in and around the 200 mark. default smiley (y)

This is the skill set that most of the new divines are coming out as.

There are so many that have 200 for all skills that it is the base level now for most of them.

I think once you adjust it you can sit back and just let the system do its thing and you can virtually ignore it.

I already made 1500eq off the competitions. I think the profits will eventually make up for the lowered prestige. Actually, I believe it'll all even out just fine if everything else in the EC is great. Well, I hope default smiley :p

The problem is the demand is high and the supply is low.default smiley :(

I agree.. More people wouldn't mind having more comps for divines but without some kind of prestige equalizer I don't see it happening. I've had trouble with finding comps open for my divines and I don't own half as many as some players, nor do I enter them into comps everyday on a regular basis.
I've worked so hard to raise the prestige in my EC that setting the comps for divine only would cause a big hit. As it is not, keeping my competitions running is the only thing keeping me from sitting at 97-98% overall. I have everything above 98% BUT the comps. It's taken months to get them up to almost 70% and I'm sure I'm like most players who are not willing to take the hit in prestige after all that work just for the extra equus or to open more comps for the divines even though their obviously needed.

ok, so I just set my gallop race for divines only at 180, but the kitty is so low since it's been just an open comp. Who will bother to enter it (except me to bring it up the list...) ?

They do fill fast, kind of nice siince my comps are so low anyway. Though do have a question on them. Will the prestige stay the same for the comps or do they go down because of this or do they just not count towards the overall EC prestige? I have one comp set regular as it was just waiting for more to fully run, while the rest I changed to divine/rookie only. Will the only one that is not divine be the one that counts or will they all count towards the overall?

The whole picture vwill change.

Divine comps even at the low level pay out more in the kittty than open comps.

I can easily get 100- to 180 for finishing LAST at a comp set at the 200 level. The fact that I use this divine for the GC objective " finish last with the same horse two times in a row. I am virtually guaranteed I will.

But at the same time when we get the objective of " win 120.00 equs" my last place Greyfell does it easily.

So to answer your question..lots of players will enter ANY comp in the divine area ( over an open one.



And I don't blame you one bit. This is what I want Howrse to look at. Why shouldn't divine comps have rosettes. Why shouldn't you be able to have the same structure as open comps with the prestige going up as all other comps do.

We can't do that ourselves but for the player like FishiesGoPook who at this moment are just looking to gain a bit of equus and not that concerned with prestige ( yet) then why not inform them of a way do get needed equus and still play the game the way they wish.

OK, so somebody jumped in and got the gallop to run, and it's now switched to rookie / divine, but won't run until tomorrow.

Also changed my show jumping to rookie / divine at 198. It hasn't run recently, so we'll see what happens now default smiley ;)

This will be an interesting experiment but someone needs to have proof that they will run with you doing very little but getting good dividends.

I think you should post tomorrow and let us know the speed of entries and what you are attracting.

I already have a good idea but lets see how this plays out.default smiley (y)
