I'm pretty excited for the piñata promo since this is my first one that I'll get to participate in the whole way (not just the last three days) and I'm confident I can complete all the objectives. I can't wait! Only about a month...

You never know until people on the test server "test" it.

Oh, was there a rumor that Howrse was gonna add markings?

I must have missed that... I was always under the impression that Howrse would never have markings because it would be too hard to code

@gypsyboots06/bugs2002- No, it is highly unlikely. They tried doing customized markings with the Diamond Apple coat but that caused a lot of browser issues so they discontinued it. They've already said they're not going to add simple genetics- so it's very unlikely that they'd add any kind of individualized markings to the game.

I haven't seen anything posted here from a legitimate source- it seems to be wishful thinking at best (there's a lot less of that here- on international, someone will post what they wish was coming and everyone will assume it's actually coming).

Though as always, we just have to wait and see what comes through the test servers (they seem less focused on the horse breeding part of the game and more focused on the ec side for now though).

So aside from 2* tack, pinata 12 and onward are semi-decent prizes . . .I am usually lucky if I hit pinata 15 without spending passes.

Though I swear the lottery gives away the 'special pinata' designed tack, but I /know/ I have more than a couple horses with pinata polo wraps and the saddle clothe design keeps ending up in my inventory, even though I know I have used it before at least twice.

@Hallaloth- i'm pretty sure it does. I have way more of the pinata colored tack than I would if it was only from the pinata promo.

Not a real fan of the pinatas, they tend to be a lot of work (and/or passes) for not a lot of reward until you get into the higher pinatas.

Because using passes to complete the entire promotion is almost always necessary. I know I could not have completed the last one without the use of passes

Usually the help for Pinatas comes through HoP's. Stockpiling them is probably your best bet; I myself have four.

What can you get in HoP's to help?

You get points in HoP's.

At some point after the promo starts Howrse will usually announce that extra points can be found in the HoPs.

Do not use any stockpiled HoPs until that message is posted on promo page. Also the points don't stockpile - so don't use your HoPs until you're on a Pinata that requires help to finish it.

I see a few objectives I might have issues with - IIRC the objectives refresh once you open the specific pinata they are attached to so make sure you are watching your clicks as well. You don't want to lose an objective that gives you more clicks because you opened the pinata before completing the objective.

Though an objective that doubles your points you don't want to complete until you get half the points for the pinata.

Very true Wolfheart - using a little strategy in completing the objectives is needed to get the maximum benefit.
