I dislike how the Unicorn horns look tinier. They should be EMBRACING the horns, not taking away from it. I'm sure a whooole lot of Uni breeders aren't going to be happy with this. default smiley (n)

@xShinex I was thinking the same thing!
@Rainbow rider Uhhh are you okay?

Actually as a player whose game is just unicorn breeding (with casual GA collecting on the side) I could honestly care less either way. Honestly though it is not something I notice since they all get a ga anyway, and the ones I leave without. . . well they get sold. I always thought they were just a tad long to be 'manageable' for a real creature that is reputed to live in woodlands. Myth and Legend have horn length being anywhere from 6 inches to 4+ feet long. so it really comes down to personal opinion.

I had no idea. I think the placing is kinda odd too, horn's being on top of their forelock. How strange... I guess the coats are going to take a lot of getting used too but I'll get over it eventually.

I honestly didn't notice that much- like Hallaloth said, all my unis that aren't being sold, get GAs anyway so I'm not sure it will be that big of a deal. Will be interesting to see how the horn looks on the foals when the foal coats get updated, if that's any different than how they are now (did someone post a preview of the foals with horns? anyone know where that was posted?)

Design-wise with the unis, I wish they were actually more distinct from horses (obviously that would probably be more expensive in terms of server space/graphically, so I can see why they don't), the way the donkeys are. It would help drive home that they are a separate species in a more visual manner. I'd also love curved horns instead of straight ones.

Nooo! Not the Icelandics!

So far I have really liked the coat changes that have happened, but I really, really dislike the new Icelandic coat compared to the old one. The old one reminded me of a pony I used to work with. Crikey, such an unfortunate surprise to log on and see this morning default smiley :$ I guess I'll just have to get used to it, as we've all done with every other update Howrse has released.
I really loved the Icelandics before, but I'm also pretty fond of this new coat. Howrse did good with this one. (With most of them, really - I think a lot of people would like the new coats more if they didn't shut out the possibility with talk of quitting or selling horses to SH because they hate the coats so much).

Equip horses
Equip your horses and watch things evolve on its horse page!

More equipment parts
If you want one of your horses to enter a competition, it needs a saddle, a bridle as well as a saddle blanket.

You can also add polo wraps and an ear bonnet to your horse. These last two items are optional in competitions.

Equipment items are split into several levels based on the bonuses they provide.

Saddle cloth, polo wraps and ear bonnets

1*: can be purchased from the store.
2**: will be made available via competitions.

Saddles and Bridles

Old names are removed
Old MG and MK saddles are merged into 1* equipment
1* and 3***: can be purchased from the store.
2**: available via equestrian centers that employ a saddler.

Horseshoes are removed. You have received a private message with details about adjustments made to the horseshoes you might have in your inventory or on your horses.

Bonus

All these items provide bonuses for your horses when they enter competitions.
Bonuses have changed: from now on, a 1* equipment will add +1 to all your horses' skills, a 2** equipment will add +2, etc.
If you associate a 2** saddle cloth, polo wraps and ear bonnet of the same color, you receive a Color bonus.

Equip a horse
Place the equipment parts on a horse via its page. Equipment parts will appear directly on its profile picture, provided the horse has no wings or customization items such as the Golden Apple or 5th Element.

If you don't want to see your horse's equipment, visit the My Account page and disable the relevant option. Of course, bonuses remain active and the items worn by that horse can still be seen in the horse's characteristics.

Poseidon's Pack
Poseidon's Pack now comes with a bridle, a saddle, a saddle blanket, an ear bonnet and polo wraps. Items contained in the pack can no longer be obtained individually. This means the Scale bonus has been removed. The bonuses this pack provides have been reviewed in order to remain attractive.

The Atalante and Centaur Packs are removed from the game and are replaced with Poseidon's Pack.

You have received a private message with information about adjustments made to each element of Poseidon's Pack as well as the Centaur and Atalante Packs you might have in your inventory.

Oh no....I really, really hope that the bonuses from the Atalante Pack will not go away and that we're not stuck with only the bonuses from the Poseidon's Pack. >.<
Using the Atalante Pack with a Poseidon's Bridle was WAY more useful for me in cross-country prix and rosette comps. :c
