They said that shoes will be replaced with the saddle blankets so I must know how much the saddle blankets are do I can put shoes on my horses

@ghoover well that's good -- because I used my 2 pshoes and 1pbridle on some horses -- saved the 4 psaddles I had -- so I'll get the 4 saddles converted to packs and the horses I put the odd number of other Poseidon tack on witll get packs too -- that makes 6 packs I'll get total (Instead of 4 ?) -- that's nice then

Then I'm better off to put one individual piece on 22 different horses, almost double my return. Any other thoughts on this?

I'm not putting all the p equipment on just yet -- I don't want to be "forced ' to do anyhting --
i really don't have anymore horses right now that are worth a ppack -- even if I save the 4 other pieces, I get the 4 packs -- whether I put them on horses or not -- so i'm not rushing and putting them on bad horses just to get the pack when I will ge the pack anyway ---
I get the exact same amount of total packs anyway -- six -- I did the math --
so how I get the packs is a moot point

just like when they took away the companions -- I feel rushed now to make this decision quickly or lose everything I've carefully saved up .... sigh

well -- I would have gotten 7, but I put two pieces on one - as i said, I don't have any other horses worth a ppack really

and I put on my last Centaur pack on a western horse too -- so i shouldn't lose that either

What's a centaur pack?

it's an old BMI -- for western horses -- can't get it anymore -- I've had it a long time

It's a tack package for horses that specialize in western comps, gives them certain bonuses. I've always used the P. Pack instead of the centaur or Atlante packs; by the way I figured it, Poseidon pack gives more bonus points than the other two and can be used for either style of comp. Of course, Atlante gives the P. Stroke too, but those usually aren't too horribly difficult to come by.

I like the new tack were getting but i dont like the horse coats and I am so happy my neise might be born today!!

All it says is "in a few days." We don't know for sure.

I don't understand the e-mail's fascination with horseshoes. What about the other tack items, like the made-to-measure dressage saddles? I have quite a collection of those saddles and bridles, but they're not mentioned at all in the e-mail and the horseshoes are.

I guess I just wish they'd give me all the information before the sudden unveiling. I can't tell if selling back all my horseshoes would be worth more than receiving this new saddle blanket.

Mostly, though, I hope these new items don't become cemented to the horse, so that, when it dies, I loose all my tack as well; especially, if these items are going to be worth passes or large amounts of equus.

As an aside - I don't like the look of the ear bonnets. To me, they look kind of dorky.

To answer two questions.

You cannot compete without them.

Saddles and bridles will be available at the EC your horse is in at the 2 star level.

Cloths are ONLY available at the store ( ECs will not supply them) but only at the 1 star level..not the two star the EC give out and the shoes presently on your horse will also be at the 1 star level.

So if you had FK shoes and M2M bridle and saddle the conversion looks like this.

Cyberhorse, do you mean that all of my tack that I currently have will be wiped out of the game with this new change? Or are you talking about the new tack disappearing with the death of the horse it is assigned to?

If your horse dies the tack goes with it.

If you intentionally kill off a horse and decide to lower the grade of tack( or even use EC tack) then the tack taken off will also disappear so either way..your tack is gone

I'm going to hedge my bets and sell off most of my tack.

so do we sell all of our tack or keep the M2M tack -- is it worth hording the tack now -- or will we be able to get tack other ways than through the HoPs ---
these are important questions for a small breeder like me -- I don't have uber horses, and so I don't put the best tack on them, but I do put M2M tack on them -- so now we won't be able to get M2M tack ? or not ? (or rather the equivelant to M2M tack ) --- for big breeders, it's a small issue -- fo rme its' a very big issue -- we need information -- please !

if it all comes down to having to buy passes to get reasonably good gear just to blup horses -- I think the game can safely be called a "pay to play " game not free -- because it realyy honestly will NOT be free anymore

and I'm talking about the normal M2M tack here -- not the really nice pass tack
