@Cyberhorse so we have no choice -- we HAVE to get resources to craft; to make everything else ? I really really dislike crafting --- sorry but I do ....

Yup you have no choice. Buy the item or craft it.

Each will have to decide what they want.

There is one upside though. Once everything is stabilized and you are finished with everything on your EC you can continue to craft and sell the end product at the store.default smiley :)

I probably won't finish for years though unless I decide to cap my EC at 20 boxes... but that was always going to be true since I only add 1-2 boxes a month anyway.

Won't this also make 3* Classical tack cheaper (relatively speaking) since that'll probably be what the majority of people craft? At the very least it should narrow the gap between classical and western prices.

Do we have any kind of pricing structure for crafting these items?

Cyber- I'm confused. In your previous spoiler with the breakdown cost, you had to purchase a trough in the market it would be 30,156. That is for one correct? You then multiplied it by 3 because you can craft up to three in your workshop.

But then you talked about how to craft just one trough in your workshop it was 4500 iron which at a cost of 10e per iron equaling 45,000e for just one?

I reread and reread it, but I'm missing something here. It sounds like one trough is 30,156 if you buy it straight and 45,000 e if you craft it yourself? What am I missing? Help!

Looking over all this I am glad we are going to be able to switch locations for a period before we have to nail one down. I had assumed mountain was going to be a bit more profitable in the long run, now I am not so sure >.> It will be interesting to see how Admin responds to their testers at this point, I am the first who typically disregards pricing, I believe in a game teaching good money/resource management. Even I am a little disliking of these numbers.

I guess the biggest question really is is how the pricing is being calculated. the 'supply/demand' aspect is difficult to tell with only a sample of a larger base. If the game is calculating price based on Ints population, I would hope it is going to be adjusted for the much smaller severs and the fact there is a lot less equus to go around. I have not been on Int in years, so I have no clue what the pricing is over there on items that are not 'flat rate' like showers/boxes/ ect but I would assume prices on smaller servers are less inflated.

No when you craft in the large workshop you cannot chose how many you wish to craft. You MUST craft 3 in the large, you cannot adjust for less. (2 in the medium and 1 in the small.)

My figures were for the large workshop( so that would be three troughs.( the reason why I multiplied the buy option by 3...so they would match in number of troughs bought or crafted..

so for 1 trough it is 1500 iron, for three it is 4500 iron.

Hallaloth, I agree with money management/resource management. I am just trying to get some kind of estimate based on the amount of boxes that I have. Obviously, I will back check several pages of info.

Whew! Okay, makes more sense now.....Thanks!

I'm just not liking the amount of time required on some of these items. 12 hours for mashes....300 hours for a large workshop (I mean 12 days?!?) I know that a lot isn't going to account for prestige just yet, but just to get your 6 large workshops it is going to take 72 days to do.That will be well into May. And then we have to start cranking out production of our troughs. And there's a water AND a feed trough to do for each stall right? My main worry here is the time given until everything is going to start counting against prestige.

Max you can have is 5 workshops running I believe. Feed troughs are for pasturse and I believe only have an affect on the leather your cows produce (30% extra if I read through everything right) Water troughs go in stalls and are what will count towards prestige.

I am surprised no one else has mentioned this yet, but missions not being able to be started until age 3 if I recall correctly? Missions which will take place of lessons, meaning 6 sets of skill gain via lesson/mission being lost?

Not that /I/ bother with them for skillers, but I know a lot of people do.

I noticed that someone on the test site indicated that the age to start missions was a typo. They were able to start at 2 years as usual.

The number of workshops will depend on your current EC prestige. You can buy as many as you wish even 10 or more but can only use up to 6 at any one time..IF your EC is 80% or better. Under 80% it drops to 5. I am not sure about the level lower than that though.

Halls--Re missions you are right..not until age 3.

However the better the horse the better the resources your EC can get. As EC owner you can also adjust how much the EC gets vs the gain the horse gets so a skiller can benefit or not depending on how they have set their ratio. An EC can set the ratio as 50/50 ratio horse to EC...others will have maybe a 75 EC--25 horse. I can't see anywhere as a boarder that you can see which ECs will be better resource gathering for your horse.

Also you can only do 1 mission per horse and once your EC has collected its allotted daily amount the mission option is gone for all horses in that EC. default smiley (n)

One mission per horse... I do bother with skillers occasionally (usually to sell, though) and one mission per horse, unless you can grab lessons as well, isn't going to be very good. That makes 25-2=23*12=276+1=277 days.
That is one mission per horse per day. but yes the testers are not happy with that one either.

We have a thread where we can post our overall thoughts ( where I got the posts from under my spoilers) and an Admin has responded so not much more we can do.default smiley :s

That's over half a year and that's not even including clouds... The skillers would be SOOOO outdated by the time they were finished!
The missions and the lessons give the same skills to your horse and they seem to be random what option you get each day.

For skillers, missing one lesson or mission can be the make or break of a top spot in the Grand Prix. The only time I don't do lessons is when I am blupping to breed.

355 days to fully skill a horse, in that case...

Since it would take almost a year to skill a horse like that, then all the skillers that were outdated would actually be /in/ date since they were all so bad... and the prices would go through the roof since you'd have to wait so long for a good skiller...
And the horses bred for regular GP would actually get better than the skillers, eventually.

That's a problem.

Calculations are mine; the analysis is thunderhorse's but she doesn't come in here, so I posted that for her.
You can still age your horses and if there isn't a mission available you can do a lesson.

Sorry. I completely forgot that I did.
Will we still be able to buy tack? I want to know if I need to equip all my horses now for the comp entries trophy.
Yes, you will still be able to buy tack.

All of this talk about the EC makes me insanely happy I never have gone above 30 boxes default smiley (lol) This is going to get very expensive otherwise...

Any word on whether or not we will be able to change speciality at least once? I know that's a long shot but I made mine Western before I really thought about it and now I'm regretting that choice, especially considering it's a private EC and I do mainly classical... default smiley :-x
