@apple- the forums don't use html coding, that's why your tests failed (also if you hit the preview button before posting, you can test any code and you won't spam the forum). The howrse forums use bb coding (basic bulletin coding) which is similar to html, but not the same. They also have a slightly more limited range of what bb coding you can use (there's no ability to modify fonts at all- bold, italic, colors etc).

Anyway, forgot to add- not loving the possible changes to the GC. Just when I'd gotten used to it being the new cycle on howrse, they go and change it. Though perhaps they were getting a lot of feedback on players not liking it as well (or it's not very profitable).

I am just going to miss the lottery >.> I love my hoards of 2* tack thank you very much, not to mention all the extra little BMIs I can trade about for what I actually use.

Me too, Hallaloth! The lottery is such a nice easy way to win tack and the smaller bmis (and some of the bigger ones).

I will also miss the lottery this lottery has given me 2 her a packs in 3 days! This helps me as a non-pass buyer...

I just think the promos come to often - especially when we have overlapping promos going on.

I wouldn't mind having something like the great challenge running every other month - WITHOUT a divine as the top prize. Maybe restructure it so we have to do the collecting with the objectives to get the lottery and keep the lottery the way it is now without the divine - just a chance to get the 2* equipment and some BMIs.

Have the GC start on the 1st of Jan / Mar / May / etc - and the lottery lasts through the end of the month. - Maybe put a max number of tickets you can have for each draw since it will go longer - but remove the Divine.

Save the divines for special promos that run in conjunction with special events - but no more than quarterly. That keeps them really special - gets people who might not be pass buyers to consider buying passes since the events are rarer and we're not constantly getting new divines.

Buy staggering the promos and special events - more players will look forward to them and plan for them and players also have time to concentrate on the game itself.

Yes, the day to day stuff can get a little boring - but constantly having promos going on is also too much.

They will never do that. Promos are the jackpot for pass buying.

Personally I do not care how many Divines are running about the server. They are only 'special' because of graphics and the perks they give. When it comes down to it I would argue a Prix skiller is more valuable than about 50% of the divines. Value is what people decide it is. So everyone and their grandmother have a 'special' horse it is not that big a deal.

WolfSinger- I agree that less promos would give more day-to-day game focus, but as far as making players more likely to buy passes to play them, I really don't think that would help anything. A lot of players, like me, simply can't afford to spend money on an online game(with no chance of an actual return), no matter how nice the rewards are. I think the promos like they are make it possible to earn your success with them, in addition to the ones that pay for it. I think if they made the pass-buying more of a focus, a lot of players would just give up completely.

Like the fact that Spring will be in Direct Sales, but if I wanted to complete the set (and I do), I would have to buy 45 passes. Not including the 10 for my VIP account. And buying 50 (which I would have to do since they don't have a 45) is $75 dollars... While I have that amount set aside for entertainment, there's no way I could pass it off to my mother.

That's completely true. A lot of players are quitting because the game isn't as fun anymore. I hope it will get better, though.

What changes...? I haven't seen any recently on the GC.

On the International, they also said that the description of the P. Stone will be changed.

the gc hasn't changed. it was just delayed while we got used to some serious ec changes.

well I buy some passes -- and divines if I think the perk they give is worth it -- but I have to say that I don't play for the promos -- never have -- I also don't like games of chance (never did, even as a kid ) so I don't do the TC thing everyone seems to do -- so the chances of my getting a divine are zero except for out right buying them with my carefully thought out pass buying; I also do not buy the Pegasus or ViP accounts -- so yes, you see what I spend my passes on ---- a ViP account would be nice, but with limited income, we all have to decide what we really want; very few of us can "have it all " -- that's called real life
so yes again, fewer promos would ease it up some on the economy of the game --- someone on INT server said it so well, one time -- even IF you don't play them, it still affects the game and not always in a good way -- people spending passes on the divines they want, leaves fewer passes they could use for nice skillers ..... so yes it does affect the sales -- but we all make choices of how we want to play

My thoughts are

I like the idea of getting rid of the divine as a top prize in the lotto. I personally feel that the pack of 5 passes is more valuable than most of the divines offered through the lotto. I am a monthly pass-buyer, but hey 5 real-money free passes... I'm there!
I have also never really cared for the horseshoe collecting part of the GC and I don't think many serious players do. I get on to improve my game, not de-wing peggies or de-horn unis for a silly horseshoe. And the only horses I have worth over 10,000e are ones that I would never sell. So really I don't think the GC is to much of a bother. You don't have to collect one single horseshoe to partcipate in the lotto.

Well, pass UFO's are here. I just caught a +10 and took advantage of it, so I've got enough for Spring and my VIP account.

I agree with Halla: Divines don't have to be rare or special; they have to improve your game. I got Dew for kicks on the first TC I opened and I got a few nice things to help. But I don't go to the TC's for the Divines; I do it for the items. Huanglong, Tianma, and Shenma improve my game with their perks; my Winters give me rosettes; my Caicias gives me Hestia's Gifts. Those are what improve my game. Isis would improve my game as well on the first of the month, but I don't care if I get her because she wouldn't improve it that much.

@ wolfheart You are so lucky I got the plus ten but my parents say I cannot buy passes! Anyways what promo is after the lottery and when will it start?

@ WolfSinger I am wondering the same thing - I looked over there, and can't find out any details -- now how would they change the description of that BMI ? I really don't see how they can, it's very simple and clear to me
