I know the legendary horses lose the actual items, but would it lose the bonus it would usually receive from the item?

They will probably lose it. For example, I put an MB on a horse, just to dewing it, for the SR, and, he lost the bonus. If you dehorn a uni with a ga, the uni will lose the ga AND the bonus. I'm guessing, it's the same, with Legendaries.

Altairs perk

Altair is a legendary horse.

You can obtain him when you give the 5 pieces of Altair's legendary tack to one of your horses, or when you purchase a Altair pack.

On certain days, he can drink twice. When he drinks for the second time on a given day, he gives you 24 hours of VIP membership. If you are already a VIP, your membership is extended by 24 hours.

When Altair is obtained via the Altair pack, the probability that he drinks twice on any given day is higher.
Game:
24 hours of VIP membership if he drinks twice on the same day.


What has everyone assuming one thing I found out is not EXACTLY what we think.

Regarding the 24 hour VIP when Altair drinks twice, here is what happened to me and you can draw your own conclusions.

Most are thinking the water icon will "reappear" so your can Altair can drink twice and I thought this also.

So I have 4 Altairs on prepod and I have worked two of them when I suddenly get the "your VIP privilege has been extended for 24 hours". So I look at my Altairs and no where did a second drink icon show up. BUT I did do TWO Altairs that could be considered drinking twice.

So if this means what I think it does then you must have 2 Altairs. This may change my outlook on this divine.

So, the game is either saying you /have/ to have two to get this to work, or the trigger rate for a single Altair t drink twice is very slim (much like some of the Gemstones)

I don't think you need two. It says on certain days, he can drink twice.... That sounds more like a random event. And it says "He can drink twice", not if two drink. I don't know, I'm not on prepod, but that's my take on the wording.

Once the Festivities start (or beforehand if you are a VIP) - you can win the pieces from the Golden Fleece (One piece per Fleece - and the odds are in favor of you getting a different piece each time as opposed to constantly winning the same piece it seems (though the chance is still there).

At minimum - a player would need to use 10 passes (2 passes per Fleece - 5 Fleece) to get all 5 Pieces.

You can also get the tack by:

Completing the Puzzle offered by the Daily Objectives (though it only seems to have one piece as a prize)

Hitting the Jackpot in the Lottery (will give you all 5 pieces)

There is also an Altair Pack that will be available for purchase BUT at present time, the cost of it is unknown (so we don't know if it will sell for Passes, Equus, or be something bought with real money like the Lucky Day pack from last year)

So are they restarting the GC cycle (where it is continuous of GC/Lottery and then GC again) or are we only having this one instance of it (so a GC, followed by a lottery and then it stops there)? I assume you have to/can only obtain the Altair tack during this particular GC (whenever that is), right?

The drinking twice perk news is a bit disappointing, though I guess maybe they want to nerf his perks a little bit since he's already got such monster skills.

@robinsin- I would assume it is a pack that contains all of the legendary Altair tack (similar to the poseidon pack). You can see all the info on altair/legendary tack on cyberhorse's post on page 499 (and onward)

So question about Altair and how to get him. So you can complete the Daily Objectives to get a piece of the tack. So if you complete 5 days of the objectives will you complete the set of tack or are they random pieces of tack?

The daily objectives award a single puzzle piece. There are 12 puzzle pieces. There is a set list of prizes that awarded in order as you obtain pieces. There was a single piece of tack, which I believe was the last piece you could obtain. So you have to complete the puzzle before festivities start and you will get one piece of tack if you get the last piece of the puzzle

I think the GC will be next. There have been no spoilers, recently, for other promos, just for Altair.

Does anyone know what sort of price range the Altair Pack will be in? Also, because of the new expenditures, will there be any 10+ Pass UFOs?

My sister has a good question. Assuming that all VIPs get to go on the test server (is that true?), does this mean that people that get the 24 hour account perk because of Altair will also get to go on the test server during the duration? Thanks!
