Modifications to Genetic Thresholds

Genetic experts, take note! What follows may interest you.

To address some of the imbalances in the development of genetic potential, some genetic thresholds are slightly revised.

Genetic thresholds are what defines the speed at which your horses' genetic potential increases with each generation. Thus, the further away from the genetic threshold of a breed your foals are, the more genetic potential they have. Conversely, they closer they are to it, the less they have. Genetic thresholds are increased gradually each day in order to follow the evolution of the breeds.

For differing reasons, it can happen that not every breed has the same genetic threshold. We want to reduce, or remove these gaps entirely so that certain breeds are not too far behind others and in this way ensure the game is balanced.

Therefore, in order to resolve a genetic threshold issue, the Fjord will be able to benefit from increased genetic potential from one generation to the next temporarily.

These changes in no way disrupt sustainable developments of genetics on the game. There is a small adjustment.

*Note it is only Fjords that will have an increase - and it is only TEMPORARY!


Sell horses to your team!

There has been a specific improvement to how sales within teams are managed.

If you are part of a team, you can now offer the sale of any horse with the team affix to all your team members simultaneously.

When you decide to sell your horse, use the same method as usual then you simply need to select the option “Reserved sales” then “Reserve sale for my team”.

Once a team member has bought the horse, it is no longer available to any of the others. The Sales page includes a My Team Sales tab.

This should make selling horses within the team much easier!


Improvements to the Creation Space

Sending your creation stage

Now when you preview your creation before sending it to the creative space, you can also see it on a black background. This will allow you to see small imperfections that can escape the eye on the bottom of the creation, such as jagged edges or light colored spots on the bottom.

Hint: You will have a much greater chance of seeing your creation appear online if it's cleaned up in the preview.

Community voting stage

► A new category has been added for reporting creations that do not conform to the rules:

We added a new category called “Does not respect the Black Pearl's other rules” which allows you to report creations that do not conform to the rules and which lack a specific category.

Tip: You can report creations that do not conform to the rules when you vote for creations but also by visiting the the pages where all the creations are displayed.

► Creations reported numerous times for not conforming to the rules will be withdrawn from voting:

Following your requests for the improvement in the quality of the creations entered for voting, from now on, any creation which has been reported numerous times as abusing the rules will no longer appear during voting.

Tip: You may vote for creations between the 6th and 14th of each month in the Creative Space (link). Creations which receive the most votes will be posted online on the 26th of each month.

► Filter by breed:

On the page displaying all of the creations for which you can vote, you can now filter creations by breed. This allows you to display one available breed at a time (riding horse, unicorn, donkey, etc.) without seeing all the others.

Vintage Apple allows you to customize a horse with old dresses of the game (those that predate the current, previous dresses can not be used because they can not fit into the bottom of the game). The old graphics, not the old Golden Apples!

Warning: any horse carrying this object can not be sold!

This object:

• CAN NOT be exchanged at the exchange scholarship
• can be given via custom UFOs on the record player subscribers account Pegasus / VIP
• can be given to horses from 18 months
• can be given to riding horses, ponies, pegasus, unicorns, winged unicorns, donkeys
• therefore can not be given to draft horses and the divine horses, wild and legendary
• can not be combined with other special dress objects (it overwrites the previous object)
• is consistent with the radius of Helios
• Vintage Apple brings a bonus of 5 in each skill of the horse

The dress is selected on the same principle as the dresses of the Golden Apple: We offer all compatible dresses with the species of the horse, and you choose the one you want from this selection.

A horse of a certain species can not therefore receive a dress for another species. As against the dress family has no material: a massive sports family horse may very well receive a light sports family dress for example.

Though odd translation - it basically sounds like it is giving players access to *What I assume* are the old V3 coats (The coat shape diamond apple horses have) - but they will only have access to the Base Coat Colors (so while they can have a V3 Friesian - it will only be able to be gotten in Black), and only for their particular species (So a Unicorn would be a Unicorn - a normal horse a normal horse. As it doesn't say breed however - it's possible that might mean you could have an Arabian, but it has the Curly Coat)

This item will give the horse the following bonuses:
Stamina: +5
Speed: +5
Dressage: +5
Gallop: +5
Trot: +5
Jumping: +5
The Vintage Apple can only be used on adult horses, and special coats are not transferred to foals.
Vintage Apples cannot be used in conjunction with another special coat. If you give your horse a Golden Apple and then a Vintage Apple, your horse will lose their Golden Apple.
Draft horses cannot use this item.
