What is the advent calendar?

Starting Dec 1st the Advent Calendar starts.

This is the image that looks like a bunch of houses and the numbers on the windows and doors will correspond to the days of the month. Mostly you collect decorations for the tree event that will come on the 10th of the month ( I will post about this later). There will be some BM items and on the 24th and on any Sunday you may get something special ( divine is a possibility). I understand that what comes up on the 24th is the same for everyone and speculation is it may be the new Falla but don't hold me to this

Also there will be a snowball fight probably during the first week of Dec and the prizes are as follows.

Now this is just my observations that whatever is offered in these special fights often shows up in the reserved sale or in a BM item like the TC or GF.

So I am going to stop now as the Tree Decoration part is a lot bigger and will post this in a few days

The Advent Calendar continues but on the 10 ( could be the 11 when the Tree Promo starts though).

Here is where the decorations you have collected from the Calendar will come in handy.

Length of time

Assuming it runs the normal length of a promo (19 days) - it would end on the 28th of December (29th if it starts the 11th...but the 28th makes more sense and keeps with the Promos start on Thursdays - end on Mondays)

When you go for the divines there is a different set of decorations required for each divine.

Here is a list of the decorations required for each divine.

Each Divine Tree requires 6 Tinsel, 4 Baubles, and 26 Ornaments - regardless of what Divine is 'attached' to it.

Tinsel can be any colors - it does not all have to be the same color

Baubles can be any color - but need to be the right design (ex. you can't put a Striped bauble if the tree needs plain)

Ornaments must be the specific ones asked for.

Tree Decorating is the main promotion - you simply choose 2 horses on your account and send them to bring back a Tree from one of 3 (later 4) Forest (you can NOT care for these horses while they are getting a tree - so choose carefully which horses you send. Clicking on the tree will bring you to a screen where you can choose the horses you wish. Seems younger horses will bring the trees faster.

Nearby Forest - Short Trips (between 10 to 15 hours) - Small Gifts (Fodder, 2* tack, etc)
Faraway Forest - Long trips (18 to 36 hours) - Medium gifts (Medusa's Blood, Equus, etc)
Enchanted Grove - Longer trips (24 to 48 hours) - Large gifts (5th Elements, Hestia's Gift, etc)

Divine Forest* - Longest Trips - Divine horses (Choice of Snow, Frost, Winter, Snowy Balios or Saggitarius)

You can either wait out the time OR pay passes to bring the tree back immediately (you can also use Passes/Diamonds to 'speed up' the return of your horses with the tree if you choose to not get it directly *warning - this can cost more than actually getting it instantly!*

When your horses return with the tree - you simply drag and drop the decorations it asks for onto it;

Once all these decorations are placed on the tree - you win the prize shown on the page the elf is holding.

Initially when you open this page the first time the elf will be holding a Percheron so you can go for that tree. Warning. It will be an 8 year old Percheron with no skills and no foal games done.

There is no limit to how many trees you can decorate, how long you have to decorate the tree, nor a limit to how many times you can bring back the same tree.

You will not see the Divine signpost to that forest until you have brought back 15 trees and decorated them.

At that point there will be a 4 signpost ( the Divine forest) will show up when you go for the 16th tree. When you get there Snow will show up as the first horse but you do not need to select it as ARROWS will show you the other divines you can select if you do not want snow . They are>>

You can now click on the tree you got and decorate it.

Like the Halloween there is a cupboard with 3 options with the String tinsel, balls and various others. Clicking on the box on the bottom will bring all the decorations you have in that set. So decorate that tree and you get the divine you chose.

Once you have enough of each decoration the items grey out. It will show up as greyed out if you don't have any of what is needed as well.

Warning--some decorations the third cupboard has the rare items ( the wooden skis and snowflake).

During the Tree Decoration there will be help in the form of decorations in the HOP and when I was opening them I found the rarer decorations were more accessible.

Also around the 24th there will the usual holiday packs.

*Though there is a click-able link for a History pack, and this pack is mentioned in the Ultimate packs description...it leads to a broken page - so either there will not be a 4th Pass Pack option OR it is not yet 'created'.

~Again, Remember that all Pass Packs are purchased with Real Money. You can not get them using Equus, or Passes.

You can if you wish not do any tree decoration and wait for the 25th when the divine forest will open up and you can just decorate this tree alone and not go for the gifts the trees from the other forest will give you.

This would have to be your choice. You can do the other trees at anytime as long as you have the time to bring the tree back for you to decorate.

Just remember that you may not get enough decorations from the Advent Calender and the other ways which are also

Here are all the ways you can get decorations.

How to obtain decorations:

> On certain days from the Advent Calendar.
> During rides with your horses (maximum of 2 per day)
> By winning competitions with your horses (maximum 2 per day)
> By purchasing with passes.

You can send up to 3 teams to get 3 trees at any one time. They can go to different forests or all the same forest.

You cannot use less than 2 horses( as a team) or more than 2 ( as a team).. You can use passes to shorten the time or bring the tree back immediately. To get the divine tree with passes it will cost you 6 passes and you still have to decorate it.

You can use passes to get a tree immediately for any forest with it costing 2 passes for the shortest ( closest) forest and it goes up from there.

You can only decorate one tree at a time though.
