I guess that means I was the only one who firmly believed getting Balios would be incredibly difficult, then. I always assumed "almost doable" would end up being "nearly impossible." Guess it was just me! Everyone else getting disappointed makes sense now. I'd be a bit disappointed, too, if I hadn't thought it would be so difficult.

Wally3, I'm sorry to hear that Maybe they'd be willing to get you a gift card instead, which could be used however you wanted, or perhpas they'd trade chores around the house. Who knows? It might be worth a shot, but even if they say no this year, the horse seems to be available every Christmas, so you'll probably at least have another chance next year. I really hope you end up getting one!

I'll just wait for the Christmas Packs -- it's another way the game makes money, so they just might have it again ( if they are smart they will) -- won't be cheap -- but I have a credit card ready

It was very very difficult in the beginning even with the lesser decorations as the number of the super rare items were not coming up. 300 passes spent and I only had 1/2 of the required number and this was at the start of the testing.

The special package was actually more productive.

Seems to me that they are scheduling the release of these Zodiacs just past the date that you can get a 5th this year.

Scorpio ended Nov 21. Unless you powered through the current promo - won't payoff until next year
Sagittarius ends December 21st - looks like you can't get him until after that date.
Capricorn - maybe if you breed fast enough.

A rather unfortunate trend, though I see Howrse's logic: they want you to pay to finish the promo quickly. I really hope Howrse doesn't go the way many free-to-play games go, where you have a major, major disadvantage if you aren't financially supporting the game.

The nice thing is that I am going to get very rich. Zero interest, even in my own which is Libra so I actually would not even GET a 5th element until 2017.

I would like to see just one divine that was available for smaller players, without a horrific use of passes/BMIs/etc... I can afford a little over 10 passes, but not the 30+ we are talking about here..

I would point out the lottery and the upcoming Christmas promo both gives players the chance to get a divine for absolutely nothing at all beyond participating. From a business perspective it would not be a sound decision to give out your best asset for anything below what the average player is absolutely willing to spend (which as noted has been around 20-30 for quite some time) There is also always the chance of winning Frost or Cascade and if a player actually saves a little bit they can always try for Arion and then there is Croesus. Luck? Yes, but they are free. And Arion just requires a few decent horses and a lot of effort.

And like it has been said many many times before. Saving your passes, do not bother with the Promos, wait for a Reserved if you absolutely /have/ to have a divine. Using pass horses that is 1 to 2 months of saving and to be honest, the thrill of owning a divine wears off after a bit. I barely touch mine and my first few were ones I wanted quite a great deal. .

I am actually okay with the system we have now. I think there are too many new ones too quickly, but keeping them expensive keeps them rare. If they released a divine you could get for only ten passes, everyone would have it, making it not that special.

As long as you save your passes, if you get ten a month, that's a new divine every three months. Not bad for a non-pass buyer.You just have to be cery careful to buy things only if you reaally need them.

Yes, I understand that they have a business to run, and I accept that. Perhaps what im really saying is many of the top players have 6-8+ hours per day to work at these promos, I personally have an hour a day, so even if I did have the passes, I don't have a fair chance at getting a divine. Anyway, not meaning to complain, I just feel that a lot of these promos are for the top players, and the little-er players can join in if they want.

Please, we all know that Howrse is banking on the fact that most people do not have the patience to hoard their passes and save for a divine every 3 months. A few do but not that many! Just human nature!

I'm not sure it's true that many top players have as much time as you think they do.... :/

Ain't that the truth! Lol the horse is difficult to get, and it really should be one of the easiest ones, based on his worth.

But, never fear! The Christmas promo is almost here! With it comes gifts and presents to win, and chances to get a divine again! Save money, time, and sanity--you'll need all three--and you might just find one under your tree!

It all comes down to priorities. Trust me, I know it's hard to save. I have 312 days of seniority and not one skilled horse or many GA coats (even though I LOVE them). It /is/ hard to see someone else with something you don't have. But if you really want the divine, you have to be able to say no. A valuable life lesson as well: once your money's gone, it's gone.

I'm a little away from the top 100 players and I still manage to get almost every divine that comes through with very minimal pass buying. I'm also only online maybe 3 hours a day unless I'm off from work. It just takes skill and patience as well as planning in order to win these promos and get the divines
