Horsegirl2016, I am 17, homeschooled, and saving and preparing to leave for college. I relate with so much that you said. While the times I am online are more flexible than someone who goes to school, perhaps seeming like I can be on whenever I want, I am usually on for ~10 minutes every couple hours just to check in. I would NEVER be able to get all my work done otherwise. Stuff piles up for homeschoolers too.... good gravy it does. Piano (looking at five concerts this month), violin, advanced courses, domestic duties, practicing art....
I don't get much money to spend on things other than college. I've bought a grand total of two passes in the lifetime of my account. So I totally sympathize with non-pass buyers.... it's hard to see someone else with something you want (the last HoP promo was hard for me, as Winter is one of my top favorite divines). It's just.... if everyone has it, it's not special. And of course the game caters to those who pay. Otherwise who would want to? But even if you don't pay, with time it's possible to become a top player, which is nice. What other game can you be one of the best without buying the special currency?

Guys, aren't we getting off topic? Most of us players would appreciate this topic to keep going, not be closed due to off topic discussions. This type of stuff should be communicated by the private messaging system.

I do know what I am talking about when it comes to homeschooling. My sister is homeschooled. Not the independent study kind of homeschooled, but the full homeschooling with no specialist to guide her and my parents. Specialist as in a independent study teacher or helper. She basically is on every single waking (and non) hour playing this game. I am not homeschooled, but I do have a lot of time on this game. I am also dancing, have performances every month or so, in middle school, and plays the piano. So I really think it depends on what grade you are in and your school, and what homeschool you are doing. I believe you guys are forgetting that I said MOST players, not EVERY player. My sister and I are non pass buyers and my sister has 5 divines (including Legendary). She uses her passes wisely, doesn't spend her passes when she gets them, and she knows how to make money selling horses. My parents probably don't want us buying passes for pixel ponies. We actually have not asked. I understand that it is frustrating when you want something with passes, but can't get it.

I know not everyone wants to spend what little money they do have on the game. I spend between 3 and 8 hours at college a day, depending on the day. I spend about the same at work, then when I'm home I have a daughter to take care of, as well of a lot of housework. Yet I am more than happy to accept the fact that the only reason games like these are able to run is because some people are willing to spend money to support them. I'm a non pass buyer and that's obviously my own choice, but if everyone was, why would the makers of the game want to run a game they would have to put time and money into, but get nothing out of? Especially considering they would have another job on top of that.

Thanks to anyone who answers, I'm really behind but really excited! I've managed to rack up passes on the int. server before, and since it's the Christmas season I might be able to get enough giftcards to buy some passes myself (you can still buy 'em with iTunes cards, right?).

You still can buy passes with ITunes cards, LadyAlpha I don't know if you can buy the packs with them though. It depends if you can access the pack page on mobile....I think
