Happy Birthday Howrse International

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the international version, there will be a new edition of the contest we had for the anniversary of the French version.

It works exactly the same way, will be on all servers, will last 24 hours, but with a different jackpot: Ow's Helios' Ray. We are also adding a new landscape for the Ow's Helios' Ray.

Concept: Find the 10 hidden candles throughout the game. The clues will help you find the candles. Those who find the 10 candles gain the Ow's Helios' Ray.

Ow's Memories

We are launching a new contest, "Ow's Memories", based on the same principle as the Memory card matching game.

Play from level to level, as the levels get progressively harder. Win a prize with each level you complete! Complete all 20 levels and win the jackpot prize, the divine horse: Fern.

Use sets of keys to find pairs on different levels. Match nostalgic card tiles with images from previous contests.

Objectives

The objectives are random from one player to another but have the same level of difficulty. There are three objectives for each level. Complete the objective or donate a Black Market item.

How to play

Visit the contest page and complete the tutorial, leading you through the first level.

At the start of a level, all the tiles are face down and have the 'never been turned over' status.

The tiles have 3 different statuses:

Never been turned over at any point

Face down - tile that isn't turned over

Face up - tile is turned over, showing the graphic on it

Sets of keys
Each player has a certain number of key sets allowing you to turn over the tiles. The pairs you need to match up are found among these tiles.

1 set of keys is used to turn over 2 tiles
The set of keys is used up after clicking on the second tile.
Receive 6 sets of keys upon first connection each day. You can also win them through objectives or when they are available on the Black Market.

Tiles
When you turn over 2 tiles:

-- If the two tiles are part of a pair, the progression meter fills up.
-- If the 2 tiles were the last in the level, you win the gift of the level and can progress to the next one.
-- If the two tiles aren't part of a pair, an animation sign is triggered to show that you can't click for 2 seconds; at the end of the timer, the 2 tiles then turn over.

Once you have completed a level, the level is unlocked. You can play it for free and for fun anytime without using sets of keys. However, the cards you get have no effect on the collections and you don’t get any extra gifts.

Jokers
In addition to sets of keys, you also have three types of Jokers to help find pairs. Jokers can be used when you have turned over the first tile but haven't yet turned over the second one.

Joker 1: 4 Make a Pair Magnifying glass

The '4 Make a Pair' joker highlights 4 tiles that stay face down

Among these 4 tiles, 1 is hiding the match of the image you have already found, and 3 others selected at random. The tiles remain highlighted until you turn over the second tile.

Note: The highlight only affects tiles that are face down.

Joker 2: Favorable Alignment Crystal ball

The 'Favorable Alignment' joker highlights all the tiles in a particular row or column.

The joker first locates the second item from the pair whose first item you have already found by turning over a tile, then it randomly highlights all the tiles in the row or column where this second item is located. The tiles remain highlighted until you turn over the second tile.

Note: The highlight only affects tiles that are face down.

Joker 3 Family Ties Spell book

The 'Family Ties' joker displays the symbol for the series of tile you have already turned over and displays that symbol on the backs of every tile on the grid that is from that same series. The symbol stays visible on the backs of the tiles until the end of the level.

Permanent offers

* Additional Key sets: During the event, players can purchase additional sets of keys using passes.
* Additional Jokers: For the duration of the event, players may purchase additional jokers using passes.

At certain times of the contest, Key set packs are available on the black market.
When the operation is activated, the pack cost will be: 1 Pass = 5 Key Sets

Collections


Scattered throughout these series are the tiles you need to collect to complete the Collections, same as for the Plant event.

The aim is to collect each version of each type of memory card. There is a total of 14 cards/tiles you can collect:

2 specific cards of the Chocolate collection (Rabit and Egg) => 5x sets of keys

3 specific cards of the Fruit collection (Apple, Strawberry, Banana) => 5x Joker 1

4 specific cards of the Halloween collection (Crocodile, Ghost, Pumpkin, Licorice) => 5x Joker 2

5 specific cards of the Treasure Hunt collection (Medallion, Scarab, Eagle Vase, Book, Red Vase) => 5x Joker 3

When you have completed all the collections, you win an extra prize: 1 x Horn of Plenty

This new collection is added to the Collections page under “Achievements” at the end of the event.

New divine horse Fern

Fern is one of the Plant Kingdom horses.

He can be watered instead of drinking.

This horse's skills increase when you give them Droppings. The skills increase depends on the amount of Droppings the horse is given, as well as the season in the game.

When he reaches 2000 skill points, he can be pruned. His skills will then be reset to 0, but he'll give you 1 x Hera's pack.
