I can't go into details yet as it is too complicated but just imagine putting tack on your horse that you won or paid for and make any change to that tack and it is gone. Swallowed up into cyberspace ( I mean really gone..to be seen nevermore--no credit to your inventory).

Only the P Pack will not be effected.

Cyberhorse - default smiley :o So, if we put on a cheap saddle until we can get a better one, when we get a better one the old one will be gone?

I love the look of the new paints! default smiley <:o)
kqueen,

Yes it works both ways.

For the VIP with the discipline change perk they lose what they had going from one discilpine to the other even if they had the better equipment.

For the person who is not sure which discipline they want ( before age 5) they lose anytime they change.

For the person selling a horse with the better saddle etc to get the horse BLUPed thinking they will save that equipment for another horse, they lose.

For any reason you make a change, you lose.

This affects everyone.

The low end player that has little Equs and can't afford any reserve loss. The mid player that has a decent reserve will find that reserve disappear very quickly. To the higher end player who will be forced to use the P Pack only to preserve what they have.default smiley :(

You have to be kidding that we won't be able to replace tack for free! Grr. Howrse has some VERY frustrating changes coming up.default smiley :k

Here is a sample of what is being said about this on the test site.

if we keep losing tack for either changing speciality or wanting to equip the horse with a different value tack, even the richest players will soon feel the impact of it. Not everybody can switch speciality but everybody can equip a horse like they want or need to. A blupping horse really needs the best normal tack whereas a horse that got it's wins and just keeps bolding can do with lower value tack.
Taking the chance of changing tack with making it a loss of items doesn't work at all for no player and for no style of playing. Leaving good tack on a normal blupper makes you lose it, changing it makes you lose it too. It's a vicious circle and I am very sure it will chase players off the game or make them reduce their game play to the low minimum. Is it this what Howrse rally wants ?

By Retired breeder, April 9, 2014 15:44:18
I'm probably going to resell everything and live off EC tack.
