I am really hoping to attemp to get spring during the lottery of course every time there was a promo I tried, but wish me luck on getting spring who might be my first divine!
So, the Lottery will only last five days once we launch it? And once it's over, another Big Challenge will immediately begin? I hope the cards will be included in the "festivities" - they're always so much fun.

Any news on Summer, yet? Unless we're just not getting Summer. default smiley xd

The team did say that past promos would make the occasional appearance in the future, just no where near as frequently. It should make them much much more looked forward too than just 'the next promo 'round the corner' sort of thing.

And knowing how Howrse themes its divines, I will bet Summer will be the next, followed by Fall and Winter (I hope Fall is named Autumn though >.>)

when will the hop have spring in it?
By Retired breeder, May 2, 2014 00:50:43
@KisaMira - Apparently only VIP members can get Spring in the Horns of Plenty.
By Retired breeder, May 2, 2014 00:51:00
It already has it but only for ViPs till the festivites
That's great to know - I can hold out hope for the cards! default smiley :-))

I think Fall's/Autumn's name will be dependent on the divine's gender...Fall is more masculine, while Autumn is a little more feminine.

If You are VIP you can try for it now. If you are not, he will be available during the festivities.

Note that a lot of things traditionally female are male. Io for example. I forget the myth, but pretty sure that was a female!

'Tis true, gender roles shouldn't really be a thing anymore lol. For instance, the name Ashley started out as a name for male children. Io was a princess in Greek mythology, I believe. Spring and Summer both are usually depicted through art and storytelling as female sprites or feminine creatures, while gemstones like Ruby, Amber, Pearl, Sapphire, etc. are usually associated with jewelry and feminine names, but all are male here. Interesting comparisons, haha.

I guess its because most females can breed

The Io myth is kind of like this

Zeus, the king of the gods was married to Hera, but he was very unfaithful. He was almost always having affairs. When Hera found him with Io, she became furious. Zeus turned Io into a cow, and Hera sent a swarm of bees after her. I forget how the story ends, but it doesn't end well for Io, who is most defiantly female.

I agree, it may have to do with breeding purposes. Just easier for them to make the horses male.
But deff very interesting! I'm glad I stumbled upon this topic. I never noticed and I think the background stories/knowledge is very interesting!

Winter is on page 195, Fall is on page 185

Yes, I never really focused on getting a divine- I was content working to breed great TBs. (Yay! I just reached my TB breeding goal of 1400+ GP!) I never had the patience for RCs and unis.

@Yum - me too! I love the themes they pick for Divines. Keeps it interesting, ya know.
It'd be cool if they did weather - rain, storm, clouds, etc.
Is Bailos something in the real world or is it just Howrse - created..?
By Retired breeder, May 2, 2014 04:02:33
Really random but has anyone heard of DragOw!?!
By Retired breeder, May 2, 2014 04:09:07
Lol, gotta love those SponserPay offers that let you get free passes. You gain acess to them at age 13 and can't do them because pretty much every one says, "Must be +18 to participate."XD

I had an account for a while. Couldn't understand enough of the french to play, however.

Haha, they usually don't pay out anyway. Yall ain't missing out.
I'm guess the reason behind having so many male divines, is because the ones that are female can be bred.
So instead of making female unbreedable divines, they just turn them into males.
A lot easier and less confusing.

I have a real horse, named Opal, and she's a little Filly.
but the Opal here is a male.
