I'm kind of disappointed with the new Divines. They just look like normal horses to me that have flowers or whatever in their mane. Fall is my favorite, Spring second, and Winter is my last. I like the bonuses and such though so I will take part in the HoP promo default smiley :d

I'm a senior in high school, finishing two AP courses and a grueling health class. I get on about three hours a day.

I won't give out personal info, but my homework takes an hour at most. Then again, everyone thinks I'm the smartest kid ever, so maybe its supposed to take longer. BTW I'm not bragging, because I honestly don't think I'm that smart.

Homeschooling sounds interesting. I wouldn't have to deal with odd teachers! Back on topic, how soon to predict it will take to get to the festivities? My guess is Saturday will see the launch of the festivities.

When I was a senior in highschool, I had 4 AP classes, honor roll, softball practice after school, 4H, chores, and still managed to get on Howrse for a few hours a day.
Now I'm in college and I have a bit more time, but I still work, etc.
Home-schoooling can be hard, tb516. I feel for ya lol.
Anyway, this is a bit off topic, yall. default smiley ;)

Er... it was just a little friendly teasing... sorry if I offended you, it wasn't meant to. default smiley :(

I guess I didn't stop to think that you'd take it so hard, it's just how I talk to my friends when I'm in a playful mood and they make a goofy, and there's a lot more teasing and stuff there on all our parts.

Again, I am so sorry if I upset you, it wasn't meant to. I've just found that if I say something in a good natured way to someone, they tend to remember it and learn from it, and we all have a good laugh. It could've been worse, I could've cracked a joke about it default smiley ;) (And believe me when I say, cracking a joke during a tutoring session goes a long way in remembering something).

Onward to the current topic ----

I haven't participated much in this big challenge because of personal issues, but I look forward to doing so next time around. Even those of us who are adults can have some hang ups that can take us away from participating in events. I loved school, but I burned out at the end of 12th grade and haven't quite gotten over it yet. I want to go to college, eventually, if I ever do get over the burnout. Ever since I burned out, I can't focus on academics for long periods of time. Same goes with reading books. I burned out on that about two or three years ago and I just can't focus to read a good book anymore.

It's part of the reason why I go through periods of extreme activity on here where I work almost 200 horses a day, and then there's days when i work just around 5. It's trying to stop myself from burning out on my game... it's part of the reason why I haven't done much with the big challenge this time around. I may also miss the lottery, not sure about that yet, depends on the offline circumstances (I just got a new laptop, and it was a need, so I'm going to have to let the internet go for a few days or weeks to get caught up on the bills).

The big challenge is a welcome change, as things have been a little stagnant in my own opinion. What I will really be welcoming is the changes to the BLUPping process that will come with the equestrian center changes, as well as the horse care changes. Even the possible addition of Draft horses will be so welcome, depending on how they do it. Draft horses will mean all sorts of new competitions are possible, meaning a new learning curve. I did like the intro of the highland pony, as they have a different BLUPping process that i am still learning, and I'm still learning to BLUP a few of the "Western" breeds before the age of 18. I'll probably focus on those more when I get back from my Hiatus.

The only thing I don't get is with some of these breeds, their best areas are no where close to where their best areas would be in real life. I also wish howrse would bring back some of the learning aspect that they got rid of a while back, like answer a question, win a prize type deal, or add the educational value to the objectives for the big challenge.

@tacobell - Go us homeschoolers! I have the same schedule. Basically, I start early - take much fewer breaks - and get out early. Ahhh so relaxingdefault smiley (lol). Not really, there is a lot of studying that you have to do, and I'm not joking.
By Retired breeder, May 8, 2014 11:22:45
I like fall the best.
By Retired breeder, May 8, 2014 12:47:03
cmw- try clearing your cache/cookies and/or refreshing the page (fall seems to be loading fine on my end). could also be an issue if your connection is slow (or slows down while trying to load all 3 images).

By Retired breeder, May 8, 2014 14:35:17
I have one more week of school. I'll probably be online less in the summer actually. I'm more busy at that time of year, and our home business gets REALLY busy come August.
