Elinea- I used to be a top Appie breeder on the UK server and I was a blupping machine. I could blup three horses in a day, in an hour each. Now that was a great income...well...sorta. Anyway, the point is, if I were to go back to breeding them...

@ Blue Mist ---- well I did some research --- started one day when some folks came in and totally took over my breed at the time -- ( I was in the top 10 genetically for about 12 hrs till they just "swooped" in and steamrolled all of us ) --- non 100 % blupped horses and all --- not even bothering to get 20 wins ---- now I do know some dedicated breeders who do 100% blup --- but not every one bothers to do that

I'm just thinking that with teams, maybe unis will acquire a more valuable position. I'm not referring to how they are now.

Elinea- So you're saying someone could dominate me by not fully blupping horses? How is it possible? I mean, barely blupping horses means barely gaining GP points... unless they're breeding twelve times a day... default smiley :s Nice of them to the ones that actually do blup their horses.

vlasc- I guess certain unicorns are valuable. (depending on BMIs and such) but overall, they're worthless.

@ Blue Mist ..... exactly --- turbo breeding -- yes multiple mutilple generations a day --
it happened to me -- and even more sadly, to the top group of that particular breed that had started with foundies from the day the breed first came out and worked their way to that position -- now they must've been more miffed than I was

Elinea- That is extremely sad... I'm surprised people could do such a thing. They're not just ruining their profits, they're also ruining their reputation, horses, other teams, and who knows; their own game.

Elinea- My Paint team tried to pull that and I put my foot down, literally. I kicked nearly everyone out and lectured who was left, or at least bred anyway. I did not know they weren't fully breeding them and getting the easy way out, until a...previous friend pointed it out. I might just breed solo for now on as all my teams have gotten ruined. They either became impatient, disrespected me, took the 'easy way out', or never followed my rules. I've really never ran a proper team since I came back here.

I can't believe all these negative discussions!

Blue Mist- All I was saying is that the value MAY go up because of teams being introduced. Even if unis stay worthless, the new team thing will still make many uni teams happy. That's the point.

Elinea- It is pretty sad that teams do not fully BLUP. But if you notice, the will probably never reach tops as the teams that do BLUP are already up there. We should just hope it stays that way and that these teams continue to BLUP.

Diamond is a Divine and the Golds contain an M. Arms, Hop, Harmony Pack and Poseidon Pack I believe.

Future changes

Equestrian center prestige changes
A comfort rating indicates box size, type of bedding, fodder, treats, and available equipment. This rating impacts center prestige.
The occupancy rate is taken into account in prestige calculation.
Boarders' prestige is revised in order to take the best skill of each boarder into account.
Lessons are no longer taken into account in general prestige. Lesson pricing directly depends on boarders' prestige.

Box changes
Ownership is removed.
Bedding quantity impacts morale loss and energy recovery when sending a horse to his box.
Box quality impacts morale and energy recovery when a horse wakes up.
The boxes and boarders pages are merged.
Boarding fees changes
Boarding fees range from 20 to 200 Equus.
Centers can offer equipment and food to boarders.
Center managers can pick a minimum boarding duration, from 3 to 30 days.

Meadow page changes
Meadow-related information are displayed in a clearer fashion.
You can now filter your meadows according to land surface, fertility, and use (fallow, pasture, or crops)
You can now purchase meadows from the meadows page.
Equestrian center office changes
It is back and now integrates the changes made to center management
Some elements (forum configuration, admin tab) have been moved.
The center registry is added to this page.

Removal of jobs
Bedding will be changed automatically so, grooms are no longer needed.
Instead of saddlers, equestrian centers can provide equipment to boarders, if they have some available.
The riding instructor no longer impacts the lesson fee, which now only depends from boarders' prestige.
A privilege that gives Equus is provided during the tutorial in order to help new players.


What's next...
Here is an overview of what we are planning next.
We will provide further details on each feature as the release date approaches.
The competition management page is updated: competition related info is easier to find and edit.

Inventories, breeder storage, and equestrian center storage are merged.
You pick a location for your equestrian center: the beach, the mountain, or the forest. This location defines the main resource you can obtain (sand, iron or wood).
Production cycles are added to allow harvests, crafting, and product selling.
Rides are easier to manage.
You can now add improvements to your structures in order to improve their quality or output.

Lessons are now missions. Missions allow the horse to receive experience. Howrse owners receive Equus from them, and equestrian centers receive resources.
A tutorial is available when setting up equestrian centers.
Workhorses are added to the game.
And maybe other features to be added in the meantime.

I think that "ownership is removed" means that you can't reserve boxes? I don't really know. The missing jobs will be a change. And I'm not sure on the equipment. If you don't have a saddler, do you need to buy equipment for EVERY boarder or just one set?

That was my main question too Aly37. It reads like I won't be able to reserve my boxes to myself anymore. But, I'm not gonna bother worrying about that until the changes actually happen. Hopefully it's a translation misunderstanding.

I'd like to give a serious thank you to the testers for these insights.

Those box changes make me worried because of the vagueness of them. I don't like others getting into my EC by accident.
But they are also changing the amount of time we can board horses for again, though what they are saying is them taking a step back. Changing it from 60 days to 30 days again...

I just bumped my EC skill level way up -- I don't like surprises (as you probably know by now ) -- I've closed my EC anyway -- gearing up to be a farm now for awhile --- need to grow crops ---

the only solution for unwanted people getting into our ECs is to bump up the skills -- and them open them up for the owner in the wee hours of the am when not as many US people are on -- that might work ---- but I'm just thinking out loud here -- because we don't know for positive yet ......and won't till mid October, quite a ways away
