Hallaloth... I have to say I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. I mean no disrespect.

It has been proven that ANY and ALL species of animal CAN have albinos. I agree that the "white" color IS actually the gray of the skin, but Albinos are not white, as you said. They are a completely different happening, even a tiny bit of "Mutation" if you wish to call it that. I have seen and my Mom knows very well an albino person. She literaly has NO color pigment. Horses don't normally have pink eyes. Yet how come there are horses out there with pink eyes? Combined with the lack of pigment in the rest of the body, it is called Albino. People have no control over it. That's how we get six-legged cats and other phenomenons. Albino horses can indeed exist, because you can have an albino in practically every other species. (Albino alligaters, people, horses, cats, etc...) I believe firmly in the existance of such things as Albino horses, since we have in the past had weirder things happen, and since there have been so many images of Albino animals, people couldn't have doctored them all. A six-legged cat is a genetic impossibility too.

Respectfully,

This is true, I am studying Zoology and horses are one of the few species that cannot have albinos - there are blue eyed creams or cremellos but albinos are a genetic impossibility for horses.... default smiley :$

Except Lethal white syndrome as hallaloth said which is the closest thing
Oh, I see. I researched it a little bit... ok, I get it. Then how can there be white (or at least light gray) friesians? Or is that another impossibility?default smiley ^)

I do agree with hallaoth(sorry can't spell your name)
I have a "white" horse she is gray becuse she has gray skin if she had pink skin then she would be white. There is no it's thing as an albino horse

default smiley :)

Most of these horses that look albino are actually cremellos - a coat color that already exists on Howrse. Geneticists have simply never found a horse that meets all the genetic criteria to be considered an albino.
Albinism is created when the offspring receives two recessive genes from its parents - one from each. A recessive gene is completely overpowered by the dominant gene in the
pair - the parents do not exhibit any signs of albinism. Albinism can also be dangerous, as it carries an increased risk of hearing issues, sight problems and blood clotting disorders.

Six-legged cats (just an example) can happen if exposed to radioactive substances. Scientists are also working to "grow" human organs and limbs in the lab, using 3-D printers (they actually already "printed" a membrane for cells almost like the heart's ones, it's actually found to prevent HIV), and on animals by altering DNA and cells. If you search "ear on rat" on Google Images, you can see such. National Geographic has made documentaries about this.

Getting back on topic.... that new Divine gives me jitters! Kinda scary, actually. Some of the coats I kinda adore, some the complete opposite, but what I really dislike is that Howrse is bringing more coats. And breeds. I think we already have enough in my opinion....

What was Howrse thinking when they created the Kelpie!!??
It's hideous! I agree, if it was a Lottery Divine I'd dread Draws afraid of getting it. I'd end up with nightmares....default smiley :o

I have to put in my professional opinion. I am a veterinary technician who works around large animals. It is absolutley true that no horse can ever be a true albino! They lack the particluar genes for it to happen. Albinism is caused by two recessive genes which a horse does not possess.

Cyberhorse- that's just Ow's Avatar (it's from the Chinese New Year's puzzles).

Cyberhorse was actually refering to the kelpie horse. If you can scroll over to view the image of the kelpie. It is quite umm interesting.

Oh! I see. I hate these too large images that you have to scroll over to. I think I remember seeing something about that in the Ideas forum on international back when it was still around. That is...not the prettiest divine.
Someone on Int said it was a zombie kelp!

Now that is a description I agree with...default smiley (lol)

Lol. I wonder what its '?' tab is. Not that I am sure I would want it even if it offered Nyx packs or something >.> What is that releasing in? Best of everyone's knowledge was that Onyx was next. Curious critter that is for sure.

"Curious" Is a nice way of putting it. What it looks like is a half-eaten green horsey medusa.

Hallaloth, I was wondering what it's "?" tab said as well. I thought someone might post that here. It surely is curious.

I'm pretty sure it still is. Kelpie will probably be out next promo.
By Retired breeder, March 21, 2014 20:26:00
*Promo after next.
As long as it's not a promo that randomly offers that creature like the Lottery - I don't care if it offers passes, I don't want it in my breeding farms scaring my other horses. default smiley xd

Poor old Kelpie - no one loves him. The Kelpie was supposed to be a magnificently beautiful stallion, beautiful enough to lure unwary travelers to their death. He could also walk on land hunting out new victims - I don't see this one doing that!

I would personally adore to have that kelpie..... howrse is finally bringing Harry Potter into the game! (I am toatally obsessed. I have read each book at LEAST 9 times.)
I wouldn't care what it looks like if it gave something good, like a nyx pack or passes.
