Also, if we had a horse that was at the age we needed, we aged it to that, and clouded it back, would it count if we aged it up again?

The problem is we were told on the test server that it will be different. Some horses cannot have a cloud put on them. The actual age will be critical in what we can do. If the age is such that it can be aged several times we were always able to do this in the past.

Objective: Take part in competitions - (Percentage seems to differ among people. However, for me, it shows .1 point per competition, which would equal 1,000 competitions to get this horse for free.)

Objective: Open Horns of Plenty - 6 points per Horn of Plenty opened
(You would need to open 17 HoPs. HoPs can be won from Xanthos, but it is unlikely that you'd have so many in your inventory.)

* Daggerwing:
Objective: Give horses mashes - 10 points per mash used
(10 mashes required.)

Objective: Give apples to other players' horses - 1 point per apple donated

I am wondering if I missed this but I was wondering what other ways will there be to get pollen besides spending passes.

From what I've read so far, we will need at least 330 pollen to get all the butterfly horses.

I believe the special price is 6 of each color (5 colors means 30 pollen total) per pass that means it will cost 11 passes to get that last wandering horse and thus the divine.

Is that correct and thus the cheapest we can do this coming promo (assuming you have everything else including the HoPs already) for or are there other ways of obtaining the pollen?
