Justice, they have Marwari's on the international server.
By Retired breeder, March 14, 2014 02:36:38
hvtgrad-They have Lusitanos on the INT server, too. That doesn't help us over here.
By Retired breeder, March 14, 2014 02:40:01
@hvtgrad05 - Sorry I should have clarified. I want Marwaris here on the US server. I have an INT account, so that's how I know about them.

Ah... yeah they don't introduce horses from other servers very often, and sometimes, they change the skills around too.

If I recall correctly, the Irish Hunter is on IH as well, but it was introduced with a different skill set here... but I could be wrong. The skill set for them is all wrong anyway. The skill set for the quarter horse is wrong too, as is the one for the appaloosa default smiley (lol) Irish hunters in real life are dressage and show jumping fiends, Quarter horses in real life specialize in speed and gallop, not stamina and jumping, and appaloosas, should specialize in speed, stamina, and gallop like the mustangs, more heavy on the stamina than the speed.

To date, the only introduced breeds that were on the International server prior to being introduced here (I don't mean the tutorial horses) were the mustang, appaloosa, and the Irish Hunter... I think.

What would they look like? Do you have an idea?
By Retired breeder, March 14, 2014 04:17:57

It is possible that they could do that, although the spanish word for wild horse is mustang.

A breed that will not be released to my knowledge and from research i have done is the Welsh Mountain Pony - it is actually one of three subtypes of the Welsh Pony (which all Welsh Ponies fall into one of the three subtypes), which would end up creating two versions of the same breed here on howrse. The Welsh Cobb is another. They released the Welsh Mountain Pony as a wild but that is a different type of game pony all together.

I assume the Spanish Mustang if released as a regular horse would look much like it's wild counterpart - there really isn't any difference except one grew up in the wild has to be tamed and the other is a domestic version that grew up in captivity. Genetically, they are identical so they'd have the same body type, looks, etc.
By Retired breeder, March 14, 2014 05:22:06
If they came out with the breed do you think it would just be a horse or would you only get it by interbreeding?
By Retired breeder, March 14, 2014 10:59:34

They are going to release purebred Welsh Mountains in the next promo. Though if you got one I guess you could inbreed it XD

According to this thread they are releasing the Highland Pony next promo, not a Welsh Mountain pony.

DEVS, PLEASE READ!! (Suggestion)

I'm very picky about the horses/unicorns/pegasi I keep. Once I decide I want to keep them, I keep them forever, so I give each one every bonus available.

I put a 5th Element on every one of them, whether I've bred or bought them, to try and complete my 5th Element collections. If I get a duplicate 5th Element Coat, I put a GA coat on it.

This means that EVERY horse I own and use and love on his game, has a 5th Element AND a Golden Apple coat on it, excluding divines, of course.

The remaining horses I own are there to use for passes and promotions, or are there to get my Coats by Species trophies (which I've started to work on recently). I do not work these horses nor do I ever intend to.

If this change takes effect the way it is described in Cyberhorse's post, I will lose EVERY SINGLE GA coat I have, including a few rare ones.

I have been working these horses for a little over 2 years now. I've had a Pegasus Account since about a week after joining. And I have spent literally thousands of dollars on this game.

The way you have this set up right now means that ALL of my favorite horses will become duplicate 5th Element horses and I will never be able to put a GA coat on them again unless I throw away all the hard work and money I invested in getting them their 5th Element bonuses.

MY SUGGESTION:

Perhaps we could have an option on horses which have both GA's and 5th Elements on them that lets the player decide which bonus to keep:

- If you remove the GA coat, you get a Golden Apple back.
- If you remove the 5th Element bonus, you get a 5th Element back.

I cannot be the only player who puts GA's on duplicate 5th Element horses. I don't think any of us will be happy about losing the GA coats we have on our horses, especially rare ones.

And as 5th Elements are hard to come by, it isn't fair that we are basically wasting them if we want to put a GA coat back onto some of our favorite horses.

-----

Frankly, if/when this happens, I will not continue playing the game because I will just feel completely cheated. In my opinion, most (but definitely not all) of the changes that have been made up to now have improved game play. But some of the future changes that have been discussed are making many players very wary about continuing to spend our money and time on a game we just may end up disliking.

Every game evolves over time, but fair compensation should be made to players who have given you their time and financial support over the years.

I hope you take this suggestion, or find some other fair solution to this problem. Thank you for listening.

Err...

The bonus that you put on second cancels the first out according to the post. This means, all your golden apples will be fine. It will be the fifth elements that get taken off.

Horse X Fifth Element X Golden Apple = Golden Apple horse without fifth element bonus

Horse X Golden Apple X Fifth Element = Fifth Element Horse without GA bonus

It's all in the order things are applied to the horses, just like a mathematical equation!

Hope this helps

Wolf-

Ah. I thought they had a different skills set. Ah well. It would be nice if the horses had skills that more alined with their skills in real life. Curlies in real life are awful with trot, but they have one of their main three skills as trot.

Tennessee walkers however they got as close as they could, even though their running walk is not a trot and they actually get penalized in the show ring for trotting. They aren't supposed to gallop either.

Lindsay -

that was speculation on someone's part due to a translation error that announced a nonexistent breed. They fixed the error and the breed is actually the highland pony. The translation error stated it was the High Mountain Pony, which doesn't exist. There was speculation it was either a Welsh Mountain, which was doubtful for the reasoning I gave above about why the Welsh Mountain Pony shouldn't be released as anything other than a wild, or a highland pony.
After seeing the upgraded artwork of the Lusitano that addicted posted a few pages back, boy do I want them to come over here! Hopefully that will be a breed that comes sometime this year. default smiley :d
