I'm pretty sure that, as soon as you bought the higher pack, you would qualify.
By Retired breeder, November 28, 2014 16:01:55
Lol, that's true.
By Retired breeder, November 28, 2014 16:04:36

Do you have to buy them,if so how much are they or do you have to win them?
@ windmill

Traditionally you had to actually buy passes and whatever pass package you bought you would be able to get the Holiday package it was tied to.

For example to get the most expensive last year you had to buy the 100 pass package. You could not use passes you already had in your inventory.

Look on them as an incentive to buy the pass package.

I don't buy them as they are too expensive for me.default smiley :(

Thanks for posting those. Nice that they are offering a 10 pass pack deal this year, I imagine that will go over really really well if it comes to about $30 or so.

I agree though, tad expensive, though some day I might take just snag a Balios >.> I would love to see them appear in direct! Ha, as if.

Like others have said, thanks a bunch for keeping us updated.

I think if someone can afford it, the most expensive pack, it's a really good deal. My thought process is, it's the holidays and this is my holiday present to myself. default smiley (lol)

I'm on and off right now with so much going on but eventually I will get the most expensive packs at the end of the year. As is right now, though, I've only bought 50 passes total and I have to see which way this is going before I decide to jump right in.
I'll have to wait and see how much, but as soon as I saw Hrimfaxi I was like, 'get it, get it!' default smiley (lol)

I hope the packs aren't more than 100USD. Oh well, I will just have to weigh the benefits of each pack with what I can afford, but I'm definitely getting one or two. default smiley (lol)
brebre- Yes, they aren't able to be won (at least in the past years).

Christmas Packs have ALWAYS cost real money, as have passes. No money = no employees = no Howrse. If we had to win the packs ... well, that would probably take some SERIOUS luck since the packs have so much in them.

Yes, they cost real money. Check out the pass packs in your My Passes page; it'll give you a nice gauge on how much they cost.

How much was Lucky Day? It looks pretty interesting...

I think it's $15.00 in real us money since it may be ten passes and it's the lowest gifting pack
well -- not as good as the last two years -- but they still offer the Balios anyway --- we'll see ....

From what I remember, you can hold onto the treasure chest in the lucky day pack until there is a different divine offered right? You don't have to "cash in" right away if you don't like that particular divine correct?

I believe that is correct rpbierly. I have never heard of anything saying you have to cash in your treasure chest
