Gather gifts, keys and overcome challenges to get a chance at (whatever divine it's going to be this year)

Until the 2015-01-06 00:00, take a Magic Ride and start gathering presents to pile up under your Christmas tree in anticipation for the time to open your gifts at 2013-12-25 10:01 (this year I assume it will be 2014-12-25-10:01)


Your aim is to get across all the board to gather as many presents as possible and a chance to try and get theJackpot: Opal the new Gemstone Divine!

To move from square to square, you will need to roll a die, each throw will tell you how far you can move thanks to the highlighted squares.

To move from board to board you will have to gather all the keys on each level to get to the next.

If you manage to gather all the 28 keys, you can try your luck at getting (whatever divine it will be this year!)

To make things easier you can take up challenges that will offer you extra die rolls, bonus die rolls or extra gifts!

And you may even get some extra help during the Magic Ride...

Warning: You will only be able to open the presents you gathered starting on the 25th of December, not before!

About how many squares or spots or whatever are on each board? About how many boards are their?

Bring on the ride! Just, please don't make the colors as garish as they were last year. That hurt my eyes. Let's keep it calm and magical this year, not, "HERE I AM! PLAY ME!"

There were a lot of squares on each board, the boards seemed to get more squares as you advanced. I think most of the boards were in the 20-35 square range.
I believe there were 8 boards total.
I could be wrong, this was not a promo I paid close attention to as I was busy with a lot of travel last Dec.

The Magic Ride is *not* a quick promo. It lasted for about 3 weeks last year.
Many players find it frustrating because you need to collect all of the keys on the board in order to advance to the next one. You also need to get the exact roll so you can land directly onto the gate that will allow you to advance - you can't have a leftover move. I think most of us ended up circling a gate or a key for several days before we were able to finally get it & move on.

So what is this Magic Ride?!?!? And how does it work?!?!?!

I really like The Magic Ride, it is a time consuming promo, but if people have the time then there is a lot of goodies to be earned.

I remember the Magic Ride from last year. Never have I wanted to bang my head on a desk so consistently. I'll play, but I won't spend a dime on it.

Best you can get is a divine or a wild. Worst you can get is probably a Pandora's Box or 30e

I love love love the magic ride!!! I remember it from a couple years back and it was alot of fun!!And its exciting to open your gifts on christmas to see what you got! just a matter of convincing my mom to let me use the computer.....

OW has said nothing about when the update will be. I have checked a few other servers too. There is absolutely no word on when the update will be.

There was a whole debate with coffee, in the INT spoiler topic. There was even virtual lattés

Well it was to be this morning, but the monkey stuck cookie crumbs all over the mother board and other important places, so sounding like it will be awhile.
