finally a promo where I don't have to care. But knowing howrse they'll probably do a weekend promo where there's a divine in the titans challenge or golden fleece or something and I'll end up bankrupt anyway. All these back to back promos and deals are really exhausting me.

This has been a year where promo/divine selection has or should have been your first priority.

Not every weekend special has been worth it or useful or reasonable to get.

Not every main promo has been helpful to you individually or to your account nor even wanted.

So managing your resources has been paramount to having a successful year.

The year is drawing to a close, so nice to have a less stressful promo after the Wandering Horse one and a preparation to what is usually a busy time of the year ( in real and Howrse life).

For those going after the Egyptians here is the final one.

Whew. A promo that only requires like, 2 minutes to do! I really liked potions and the wanderers, but itwill be nice to relax.
Does Howrse do special promos for holidays? Besides the holiday packs.

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'special' the Holiday packs are really their own special thing, and it is each player's choice whether to take advantage of them or not. Typically the promo that runs through December is holiday themed with prizes kinda sorta in the past centered around the 24th/25th of the month? It has really more just been a small 'gimmick' for the holiday promo that does not really affect anything.

Last year was a toss up in terms of likability for the holiday promo. It was admittedly fairly pass heavy, but the rewards of spending those passes kinda of equaled out? It was the first promo in years that offered Balios as a prize, and a variety of other Divines people had wanted, but it was a sizable investment to get those divines.

You could like always get a nice little pile of gifts for free, and if you did a lot of resource management could sorta handpick your prizes and get what you wanted, but it took planning and there was some frustration in a few of the mechanics.

It was not by any means a terrible promo overall, but like all promos, it did require passes, and I doubt we will ever see one where that is not an issue. I would just recommend to players save your passes, your luck items and see what it is first, then decide if what is offered is worth the investment. Me? I walked out with my first Balios and Winter an a few other little bonus items. My Balios alone has paid for himself, and I spent a decent of amount of saved resources on it.

We also have typically a Halloween themed promo so from now to the end of the year those two will probably dominate the "holidays".

Cool! I won't probably ever get a divine ( unless I get ridiculously lucky. Yeah right), but the BMIs are usually worth it to participate in promos. Hope I get a GA from one of them!

What wxactly are the holiday packs?

holiday packs are a version of buying passes except that you get extra "presents". originally there were 2 packs the smaller cheaper one you could choose from a group of divines (cant remember which one) and the larger more expensive one you got a greyfell and could choose any other divine on the game. the last 2 years it has been 4 different packs with the chance to get greyfell, a choice of a mythological divine and 2 new divines. you also get passes and a chance at APs, equus, VIP and titans challenges all depending on the pack u choose....personally im hoping they go back to being able to choose any divine on the game especially since they are reintroducing them on the game this year

It should be noted, for those wondering, and anyone considering who has not seen them before, these packs do cost actually money, it is exactly like purchasing passes (passes are typically included, each pack has so far included a divine, passes and a few other little things)

The lowest price last year was $45, which included one of the divines released over Christmas, some passes and I believe a month of VIP. I think the second one was $70, the third was $125 which included I believe 80 passes, a sizable amount of AP some equus, A Greyfell (given at random I believe from those you did not already own) and a divine from a predetermined list. Then the ultimate pack was $225 but it included everything from all three smaller packs and, if you ran the math was actually rather cost effective in terms of what you were receiving if you were willing to spend that much

$225 As tempting as it is, I don't think I'd spend that much on a game of pixel horses. But if they offer it, I'm assuming there are some people who do buy it. I want that job if the person can spend money like that

This post was from November of last year before the packs were released so the prices might have changed from when this was posted in the spoiler zone and the actual release.

However this should give you an idea of what to expect in them. I'm saving my money so I can get the big one depending on the rewards.

If I recall those were player converted prices, which is why the actual prices were a tad different when Howrse released the packs. And most certainly there were those that chose to spend some hobby money, we all have things we spend a little extra on. Mine typically is books, cards and occasionally games.

I personally like baby-sitting to earn money. Especially if you are a little bit older, then you can stay out later and the parents trust you more. Try asking around (maybe the school you go to if you go to one) or try getting your mom to ask some of her friends with kids.

I personally will be scavenging for gift cards to maybe save up for a pack or maybe for a promo, but I will see.

I'm going to ask for a $45 dollar visa gift card so I can buy a pack can't wait until Christmas!!!

I remember the Halloween promo last year (it makes me feel SO OLD to say that ), and I enjoyed that somewhat. I also remember the Christmas one last year, and I am sad to say that I didn't really enjoy that one very much
I wish they'd just give us a "merry christmas" divine like a reindeer or something and stop there. Or, maybe, you had to play a fun Christmas mini-game and then you'd get a special Christmas Divine/BMI/tack/something.

I'm so tempted to spend money on the packs.... like my parents will let me haha
