I'm confused, how will it be difficult for uni breeders if they breed before they BLUP?

This is also how I skill and get all the wins I want as do many other experienced skillers.

Every seasoned player knows that if you train in the secondary skills and leave the top skill for a comp untrained you can easily get the wins needed for 100 blup. The rides set up this way will effectively stop this tried and true aspect to blupping. Getting these comp wins used to be about skill in playing the game not about how to even the playing field for those who have not put in the hours and years to develop their playing skills. It saddens me to see that most the changes are about how to even the playing field for new comers. Pulling the top players down does not make for a better game. It might make it more profitable for the company, at first, but less players are going to want to stick around for the long haul if they just keep getting knocked down from a level they worked so hard to get to.<<<

However, I agree to the question why making things so complicated ? To me it doesn't make sense to take dressage out of speed rides and add trot + gallop in a block without an option to choose from. On the first view in Ow's sheet it seems to be more levelled but in practical playing it won't be. Especially speed based breeds will take longer to be blupped.<<<

I feel like these changes will make it hard for most top players, and make anyone who wants to achieve anything GP wise completely dependent on the few top players who will be able to shrug this off. Though it would seem Howrse is trying to even the playing field, they're not. Instead of making it *harder* to BLUP horses and scaring new players away, they try to make it easier, or at least less complicated.

catmaster - I don't think anyone said that. Hallaloth said that it will be a pain for uni breeders who like to BLUP before they breed, and I just said that I breed and BLUP at the same time, but still care about GP.

Well at least if those that have read these last few pages they will not be surprised when they come into effect and my job to me is just to inform.

I can't tell anyone which is best, non of us can as we all interact with Howrse in a different way.

So for those that have understood what has been posted I hope they will be able to assist any players they do know.

When the next changes( after these ones) come up I can see another major adjustment. It was no wonder OW could not give us details way back 7/8 months ago as we really would not have been able to understand. Even now it takes a bit of thought.

@catmaster94 I am sorta glad that it wasn't the 1st because you see I am now on thanksgiving break, and I go back on the 1st, and as much as I would love seeing a new promo, on the day which marks my favorite month, I have A LOT of work that day, and I'd rather have it start closer to my next break, and other events.

Well testing finishes the 1st of Dec and based of previous actions the real thing comes to the live version withing days even on the day we finish testing ( usually nothing is going on those last few days in prepod).

The only hold up may be if the Festivities are still going on anywhere.

They don't look like any Lipizzaner I have ever seen. Most have roman noses and are really not the most good looking horses when they are just standing.

When they are moving though they are beautiful.

Of course, now the REAL question is which gifts contain the new breeds? Gotta have a strategy for these types of promos.

This is funny, on page 328 I said that new breeds might be coming and lookie, here they are.

Yep! And back in the 200's I said that the gemstones had a good chance of coming, and they came!
